Hi,

So I have a 2019 3500 Mega cab with the Aisin 69. It is deleted with a raceme tune. I do not however beat my truck.

It now has about 80k miles on it.
I changed the transmission fluid on it a few weeks back (second time, previous owner did it at 40k). I then used an oil that according to my oil 'store' was recommended for the JWS3309 specification.

I then drove around 600 miles with it before it started shifting roughly. It got worse and worse quickly and ended up shifting extremely rough and went into some sort of limp mode.
It also threw the DTC P0850: PARK/NEUTRAL SWITCH PERFORMANCE. - This was read via my RaceME Ultra screen.

After this I read into the oil used and came to the conclusion that it was not suitable. After some googling I bought the Motul ATF 3309 and changed to that (also changed the filter again).

The truck again ran flawlessly (or as good as it does with the tune, the Aisin does not really like it) for 750 miles and then it started again.

My "Dodge-nerd" friend suggested that we change the oil again just to make sure that it is not too much of the "bad oil" in it. I am a bit skeptical of this action as I do not believe it is the issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

As to oil, I have stuck to Mobil 3309, like the sticker on the case calls for. Several folks on TDR have run Amsoil with success. You might try talking to Next Gen Driveline.

Thanks for the feedback. Located in Sweden so I have basically 0 companies to turn to, the number of aisin RAMs here can probably be counted on 2, if not 1, hands...
And im suspecting american companies have little value in being support...

Understood. Not sure if they ship outside the US, but Next Gen may be able to at least advise you on your issue. Also, PPEI has tuning available for the Aisin that may help it better survive a tuned Cummins.

any other codes after it starts shifting roughly? what do you mean by shifting roughly? have you tried doing an adaptive values reset after changing the oil/filter? can you put it back to the stock tune for 750 miles or so to try it out?

i dont think you have enough old oil in there to contaminate anything.
