Still have my 95 ZJ bought it in 98 been a dependable workhorse
Take it to Moab every year. Just now I tow her down behind my Ram. The Cooled Seats are awesome. Wait until winter when you remote start and the seat heater comes on for you and warms the seat up before you get in oh and the Heated Steering wheel you love it. It's all the little things that make you feel good about it.

Yeah I'm not too worried about winter around here in sunny San Diego.

The ZJ in the driveway is my wife's 95. Got it for her about a year ago as an upgrade to her old 92 sidekick. We bought the house and it's up a pretty steep hill. The 4 banger in the sidekick just didn't have the sack to get up the hill above 5 mph. So moved her up to the 5.2 in the ZJ. It's been good for her so far.

The YJ in the driveway behind the new truck is my baby. 92. Got her in college back in 02. Bone stock. Over the years I built it up to my major toy. I've put more money, time, blood, sweat, and tears into that thing than anything I've ever owned. But I love it. Used the old dodge to tow it out to the Desert. Now the a Sport will haul it out.

Mine is the one closest to the camera flying to confederate flag. When I stretch it in a few months to add a back seat I'm actually gonna repaint it orange and go with the General Lee theme for it. Already has the Dixie horn.

You can't paint it orange, because you can't change your forum username. :p

Besides, I like green. I have a '99 XJ that's green. :D

I've always like the ZJ, and sometimes I wish I had bought one. I would have loved a '98 Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited (with 5.9L V8). I've actually swapped the interior of my Cherokee with the interior of a '94 Grand Cherokee Limited.

NICE!! Especially since it seems things worked themselves out for you.

1) Dee Zee Tailgate assist $38

2) McGuard Tailgate anti-theft lock $25

Talk about piece of mind!!

+1 on the tailgate assist, it's on my list and will likely be done the same day as I get the ding's on the bed pdr'd.

As far as the McGuard lock, I'm on the fence w that since you should already have the auto-lock on the tailgate that locks when the doors lock, unless your harness is unplugged. It is a nice piece of mind though.

Yeah mine has the auto locking tail gate.

I gotta admit, I'm not really sure about the tailgate assist. What does it do exactly? Ale the tailgate lower slowly and keep it,from banging down if you just open and drop it?

When I'm carrying a 60 pound bag of dog food (every week) to the truck all I have to do is pop the handle and wait. It's bad enough on my back to hold the bag without adding a tailgate. No more falling hard. I would imagine one slam a month would eventually take a toll on the back up camera and moving parts. I'm just not hard on my trucks unless I'm in the woods banging them up on purpose. Besides, my wife likes it too.
