Good times since 2017. Strong Hemi w/ no issues. A blast to mod. But life takes its turns.

Ram 1500 to Subaru Outback. May god have mercy on my soul.

It’s hard to go wrong with an Outback. My wife has one. I enjoy driving it. We’ve been contemplating a new one but hers only has 150k on it.

Our driveway has room for BOTH, a Ram plus a Subaru. We each love our rides. She still works a full time job, commutes daily about 25 miles each way and I'm retired, only drive my Ram less than 6K miles annually. I could talk all day about how I love my Ram, being my fourth Ram since 1982. But her Ascent is the bomb too, as far as comfort, reliability, high tech features, safety systems, quality build and dealer responsiveness is concerned. Great choice!

Regardless of the poking for "Subaru Owners"... they are incredible vehicles to say the least.

I worked for many years with Subaru Canada and had the privilege in my position there to have several different corporate vehicles to drive over my career there.

They are virtually unrivaled in snow/ice conditions, especially when paired with high-end snow/ice tires and a manual transmission as the torque vectoring is a true 50/50 torque split.

Their crash ratings are phenomenal, too!
My ex had our daughter and their pooch in her Forester and got t-boned in the right rear (daughter was center seating in the rear) as they were making a left by a big Buick who was flying through the intersection, that folded the RR rim, suspension, door into the cabin as well as bent the B-pillar all to heck... they all walked away with not a scratch.

A lesser vehicle would have had much more damage than this Subaru did.

I tried this: 2017 ram to a 2024 Mazda Cx50 to a 2025 Tacoma back to a 2025 ram warlock. Lol

It's the most sure-footed vehicle I've ever driven. My current Ram, with dedicated snow tires and 600 lbs of sand in the back is almost as good. When faced with a steep hill and 6 inches of wet heavy snow, the subie was the only vehicle that made it up.
