You know I can' go a month with a new truck with out doing something to it. I barely last 3 years with the same truck. When I got my Ram I said I was going to leave it alone minus exhaust. Well then this little spark started, turned into a flame, then camp fire. Then driving down the road what do I see, THE EXACT SAME TRUCK! that flame became a full blown raging forest fire. I guess I'm addicted, I just hate having a truck that doesn't have my personal touches to it, knowing that there is a truck out there exactly the same is even worse. What drives you guys to do it?

First photo is about 2 weeks ago
Second is about a week later, and I still have more parts coming

is that a four inch lift? In the first one the door handle is at your elbow. In the second one it's much higher. Pro Comp? Ranchero? How's it ride?

Yeah I'm kinda itching to mod mine too but my other toy is taking all my spare cash and I have several more weeks of losing two days a pay period (federal furlough), so the mod monkey for my Ram will have to cool it's jets :insane:

I'm somewhat the same way. My wife asks why I feel like I have to do things to my vehicles. My response is similar to yours. I can't stand having the same truck as everyone else. I have to do something to make it look different.

I havefour, 4th gen Ram's in my neighborhood counting mine. I need to differentiate.

I also don't keep vehicles very long. 3 years would be a record for me. 35 years old and I'm on vehicle number 15.

I definitely like knowing that my vehicle is one of a kind. But its also the fun of doing the work for me. It keeps me from thinking about anything else which is a nice change. I usually do about 50/50 on mods that can be bought and mods that are custom. That way I know its highly unlikely that I run into another truck like mine. And if I do, it would probably excite me. Haha. Then I would probably go and change the mod.

I didnt touch my truck for a year after I bought it cause I wasnt caught up on the GEN4 trucks. I studied for that long before doing anything at all. Then I just went nuts. Ha! But this is the first time in my life that money didnt hold me back from doing anything I wanted to it either. So its been a lot more fun this go round. :pepper:

But a Ram truck is just such a good starting point...:winner_first_h4h:

Its a 6" RCX. I love the ride personally not rough but has a good truck feel, yet its really smooth. I'm really impressrd with it. I also never hooked up the front sway bar, I never do. The factory ride was way too soft and plush for my felt too much like a car.
