the famous hemi tick

i have a 2012 ram 2500 with the 5.7 hemi. I purchased the truck knowing it had the infamous hemi tick so i took it straight to the mechanic shop. He installed new cam, lifters, vvt gear and had the heads gone through and the tick is still exactly the same. baffled at this point as to what it could be.

That really is a bummer. Doing the same repair myself at the moment on my 2014. Did you find any cause for the tick on the cam or lifters? Did you use Mopar lifters and not the cheap ones from Ali? And did you bleed the lifters before installing? Otherwise it may take up to 20 minutes after first startup for all ticking to disappear.
