Yes, worse than even the old horizontal, over the K-member filters in my 60s, 440 and Hemi cars. But not by much.

I don't change mine...the dealer does....but when i get home after a 15 mile drive, after the oil change, my garage floor has oil on it. I'm guessing when they pull the filter, it bleeds all over the frame and lays there even after driving that far.

The first time i thought I had an oil leak. Years ago i had an S10 blazer and it had the "remote" oil filter at the top of the engine off to the side. very easy to change.
