I hate to break it to you, I'm suspending the use of the AAC halos for now. I've had a couple come back due to LED failure and I'm kinda getting tired of eating my time to fix it. I love 'em, but - its just not worth my time right now to get them back when they fail.

When can I expect to you to start using them again?

That's heartbreaking.

not sure man.............

I just don't trust them. I'll install them, but I won't warranty the labor, which I freakin' hate doing...........it just seems wrong. But I can't eat the labor on these, and I've had a couple issues now. (and to those that think I'm jumping the gun........the product is $220, I don't charge labor to install them while I have the lights open - I expect that I won't have an issue with these things).

Not trying to bash........just letting you know where I'm coming from.

Yeah, I hear ya. What's the ratio of good ones to bad ones?

Just a rough estimate.

LEDs

I have done.........7 i think.

2 came back due to adhesive failure. lesson learned on my part, don't use theirs (the stick on ****).

1 had a problem that we decided not to fix...........just wouldn't have been worth it with the understanding I got from AAC.

Had a set I did a month ago, before it left one halo had 12 LEDs go bad. Was happy that it did it before I sealed up the light.......but it delayed the order. Customer got it, and in less than 2 weeks, 3 LEDs went out on one. Its shipping back out tomorrow.

And now.......another customer with LEDs out. Just not feeling it right now.

So, 5 of 7 have had an issue of some sort. 2 I'll eat, don't trust their adhesive (but they blamed mine for one error)............and blamed paint for the others. Hmm......ok.

Again, not trying to drag the company through the mud, I've had success with their product! Just a lot of time in it if I have to redo it, and I just don't have the desire to redo work. :D

I hear you. 5 out of like 30? So 1 out of 6? That's good and bad, but if my halo went bad, I'd probably throw $ in. Just because it's now not I the warranty.

yeah I did my entire headlight in satin before and they looked really really bad. just looked really unfinished and odd. Having a black truck did not help matters. I can also say I was one of the people who had adhesion issues with the LED halos. I got the duel color ones and now they are cool but if I knew then what I know now I would have just avoided them completely. What is cool and easy is the CCFL halos with the cover thing. I love them.

Sam - not 30.......7. :(

I even tried to tell Reece not to do the halos. LOL - he wouldn't listen. LOL

I absolutely LOVE those MC-R shrouds. CCFLs, I love those. I have done a LOT of those, and if there is an issue, its an inverter (99% of the time). I had 1 short out and fizzle a bit, that sucked........but 1 failure on those out of.........****.........65? I don't know how many of them halos I've done. I'll take that. Oh, and they are MUCH cheaper. Gotta love that.

yeah JJ should have listened to you. Still dont have the two color things worked out yet. But I am not a big fan of the small halos that go around the projector but with that shield over them....WOW I love them. Its probably the number one things people comment on.

I've never used ccfl for halos but I've used them for other things there sweet!
The only time I've had problems was my fault and the fix was less then $10 both times
