Just picked up a really nice used 2018 1500 Big Horn 4x4, CC, 6.4 bed with 3.92's. Brought her home yesterday. Walking out of Walmart this afternoon the wife says "we need a lift". I mentioned to her when we get a 1500 I was gonna lift it and she was big time against it. So lift it is.

I've been stalking this board for months now as I've been searching for the exact truck I wanted. It seems the Superlift kit is what Mopar re-brands as their own. Is this correct?

I'm just looking for a 4" kit. Will the ride suffer with a 4" lift? We really love the ride on this thing, just sits too low for our taste.

It'll mostly see highway miles with the occasional light trail thrown in. Really don't want the ride to suffer. I don't wanna say money is no object, but at this point in my life I want what I want. I'm not saying I want to spend foolishly but I'd pay a bit more for a smooth riding 4" lift.

Thanks

Bob

There are some aftermarket lifts that are better then those sold by mopar. After getting some feedback here , YouTube it for some reviews and videos to see if the height , ride etc is what you want before buying.

Congrats. I bought a 6" superlift with bilstien's from @Nick@GotExhaust great guy and will buy from him again best customer service ever. As far as the lift install is finally almost here next week but I picked that set up because what I read ppl really liked the ride. There is also zone which is basically a bds kit with a different name to make it cheaper. Cant go wrong with either imo but I 100% recommend buying thru nick he jumps in and gets it done. If my install is done before your decide I'll let you know how I like it but I expect mine to ride rougher due to wheel tire set up.20200607_161317.jpg

The problem with 4" kits is that they dont decrease the rake enough, most members here add front adjustable height bilstein struts to raise them up .7 to 1.4 additional height. If you look at the kits the price difference between a 4" and 6" is minimal, that's because it's basically the exact same kit except for the front strut spacer. Go online, search the installation instructions and compare the parts list for each kit your considering.

Measure your fender height from ground to center fender, write it down and post the numbers here. This will give us the rake number.

If you want to retain your factory ride, consider getting a Zone 6" with 3" rear coils and rear fox shocks, but tell the shop not to install the front preload spacer which means your front strut/coils wont be touched therefore riding as stock. This will give you a 5" front lift and 3" rear lift which should leave you a "measured" 1/2" to 3/4" rear rake. That's basically my setup (BDS Suspension) and it rides great.

Also, an extra benefit with the Zone/BDS is that it can be expanded on. If you decide you want it higher, just add the adjustable front struts and 5" rear coils, if you want it lower just buy the front 4" spacer and swap that.

Here’s mine with the above mentioned 5/3 setup.

Click these links then click view installation instructions to compare the 4” to 6” differences and also to see the preload spacer I mentioned.

Awesome setup! Do you mind sharing how much your setup cost for the hardware and then the install labor?

It’s a rare bird for sure ... Almost never see one on a dealer lot ... Probably a special order ... If I order a new truck next year, that’s what it’ll be ...

6.4 bed on a half ton with CC would be very nice to have. Sometimes I wish they offered an between one of 6 feet as standard. I just need that extra half foot. lol

Great info here. Thank you. I'm a research nut. Gonna research this until I'm convinced I have the exact lift with the best ride possible.

Your truck looks outstanding by the way. That's about the lift height I want.

Took me a long time to find the exact truck I wanted. The hardest thing to find with the CC, 6.4 bed, 4x4 and Hemi was the 3.92 gears. That took forever. I actually found two. One was from Canada so the warranty didnt carry over. It was an 18 Outdoorsman. I found this one the day before I bought it. There were 2 for sale by me a few weeks ago, but they had 3.21's. Both were 19 Classics.

I have to ask. Why just a 4" and not 6"? I only ask because we have had many customers with a 4" come to us looking for a 6". If you ever thought about going 6" just go for the " kit. It is not a large price difference.

Depending on lift height and budget we recommend either Zone, Superlift or Fabtech. Let us know if we can help. We offer and typically stock these lifts. We can offer you a great deal on any of them. Just shoot me a message.

Jb is spot on with this. Go with that kit and you can easily set it up to be 4,6, or 8 in lift. He helped me alot when picking my setup. I decided to do the zone 6/5 setup with bilsteins set to 2.8 so technically have about 8in up front and 5 in the rear to give the lifted level look
