Extra wrench to throw in here, I think AEV's 4" lift is the only one that uses factory style aluminum knuckles to keep unsprung weight down.

Interestingly most of the premium suspension choices (King, Fox, Carli..) are closer to 2 inches, and don't involve relocating the front differential.

If cost is no object, there's always the Prefix or Dirt King type long travel, jump ready suspension

You make great points however...........

OP states that the truck sits too low for their taste. He would like the height without sacrificing ride quality.
One of the best ways to achieve said goal is a Zone/BDS 6" lift with the Fox 2.5 coil overs (Adjusted to a 5ish inch lift) with 3" lift coils in the rear paired with Fox 2.0 shocks.
That gives height and ride quality and is cost effective. In my opinion this set up greatly improves the ride quality.

I have to ask. Why just a 4" and not 6"? I only ask because we have had many customers with a 4" come to us looking for a 6". If you ever thought about going 6" just go for the " kit. It is not a large price difference.

Depending on lift height and budget we recommend either Zone, Superlift or Fabtech. Let us know if we can help. We offer and typically stock these lifts. We can offer you a great deal on any of them. Just shoot me a message.

I picked 4" at random. I was thinking 2" is too short and 6" was too much. I know when I lifted my JKUR the magic number was 3" and to try to stay under that.

I've been researching this pretty heavily and looks like the Zone 6" with the Fox shocks/struts at the corners, as mentioned above by Quick Shifter is the way to go.

I had a 2012 Power Wagon that I put 35's on. That truck was almost too high. I'm only 5'8" and use the bed of the truck, not for work, but I do use it and the PW was a bit of a bear to get into. Absolutely loved the ride on that rig though. The wife was pretty pissed I sold that truck. Probably the nicest I've had, and I've had a pickup of some type since I was 17, I'm 55 now.

Will the Zone lift, configured with the 3" rear springs and 35's be higher than a stock Power Wagon with 35"s? Close?

it’s also notable that all the bracket lifts seem to require you to adjust the front higher to fix rake and you don’t get a 4 inch lift. You get closer to 6. The AEV lifts the front 4” and the rear like 2.75 and eliminates rake. I don’t particularly want a 6” lift. It’s just not my aesthetic for 35s. The AEV is expensive but in the end it’s looking pretty spot on for what I want.

The Zone 4” kit actually comes with a 2” rear spacer, the 3” rear coils is $78 extra.

Doesn't the 2" spacer completely remove all rake though?

Depends on your before measurements but yes it should leave you with 1/2” to 3/4” rake. It’s the same ratio as I suggested with lifting 5/3 as mine is.

I've seen 2020 c/c with a 6.4 bed but its a base v6 tradesman. Ive not seen a gen 4 configuration

Blue Mule

I picked mine up used at a dealer. I live on Long Island and I see them pretty often here. Maybe one out of fifteen 1/2 tons with a CC

What do you all see as the major advantage to the zone over the superlift. It appears to me that with the superlift you get a beefier skid plate and the front adjustable bilstein shocks for about the same price. I know most guys are probably partial to whatever they put on their own trucks because that is what they know. Like I said before this is what I ran on my 1500 a couple years ago so I know more about this kit than the zone. Just curious?

My brother in laws 6” lifted 1500 with 35’s is basically the same height as my power wagon on 35’s with a 1.5” leveling kit.

Superlift gets its 6" by setting the Bilsteins at max 2.8" of lift. If you get the Zone or BDS you can add Bilsteins and crank it up to 8" lift if you want or anywhere in between, whereas superlift is maxed out. The superlift 4" kit uses the bilsteins at zero lift so it can be adjusted up, however superlift doesnt include the rear control arm relocation brackets on the 4", only on the 6" kit......BDS or zone includes them on both kits.

Superlift makes a great kit and theres nothing wrong with it, but to me the zone or BDS is just more of an adjustable kit up or down with minimal component changes, therefore once you get the lift installed your not stuck at that height so you always have options.

Front is 36 1/2", rear is just about 40".

Dang 3-1/2" of rake, mine was 2.75"

Now you can do the math and decide how much rake you want to leave if any

(mine for reference)
Before not lifted stock: Front 36.75 and Rear 39.5
Current BDS 5/3 lifted: Front 43.75 and Rear 44.50 (0.75 rake)

Parts List:
1. BDS Suspension Lift 6” front with optional 3” rear coils P/N 671H (preload spacer not installed).
2. OEM Upper Control Arms.
3. Bilstein 6112 60MM front struts with coils set @ 0.00” P/N 47-242548.
4. Fox 2.0 Performance Rear Shocks P/N 98224758.
5. Fuel D670 Wheels 20X10 -18mm offset 5x139.7 Hubcentric Matte Black
6. Nitto Ridge Grappler Tires LT325/60R20 P/N 217440 (69.8 LBS).
7. Core4x4 Tier 3 Adjustable Rear Upper and Lower Control Arms and Panhard bar.
8. Hellwig Rear Swaybar P/N 7709.

Looking at your parts list I see you have Bilsteins up front. Will the Fox front struts improve ride quality over the Billsteins? With the Fox front upgrade is an upper control arm needed, rear sway bar needed?

I'm still trying to figure out what system will work best for me. I'm not against the super lift or the BDS for that matter. Still undecided between 4" and 6" systems. Just seems that the Zone 6" is popular. I'm a research nut. Took me nearly a year to figure out what tires I wanted for our JKUR for crying out loud.

Within the next year I want to finish this truck with:

-Lift
-cab lights
-bed liner
-OEM Mopar fender flares, color matched

I have the 1 year goal because I'm gonna need new tires soon.

On a side note will 35's fit the stock height 1500 if I need to get tires before the lift? I'm not opposed to wheel spacers, I like the stock rim look with bigger tires and a lift.

Yes the fox front coilovers are great, I didnt get them because I didnt want to spend that much $$ at the time.

35's wont fit without a front level

Heres a good thread for ya
