Here's a visual difference. K&N and other high flow filters have a much wider space between ribs allowing more air thru.....hence "high flow"
First is yours
2nd is k&n

Autoanything has a $10 rebate on k&n filters and they will price match Amazon or any lower offer

Back to the basics... Has anyone used the K&N and if so, has it made a noticeable improvement that you can feel?

Just take the filter out and you'll gain a few hundred HP at least...

J/K.

If it were me I would only try it if whatever filter you currently have is actually due for replacement. Some tests have shown just a less restrictive filter does add a few HP, but others said it was useless. I guess it depends on the particular vehicle, environment, etc.

i noticed a difference in my 5.4l f150 with a performance exhaust also but more than anything honestly I did it for the sound. my brother had same truck and engine and mine was noticeably more responsive however now these trucks are so much more advanced and can relearn new air flow and change it up on the fly im not sure it would actually "do" anything noticeable...

Unfortunately higher air flow comes at the expense of less filtering. Don't believe me? Take a new stock paper filter out and hold it up to the sun and look at it, now do that with a K&N and see all those beautiful sun rays shining right through the holes in the filter. Then decide if you still want one.
