K&N question

I have the k&n cai on my 07 4.7 and when I press the accelerator all the way down and I'm at high speeds the air intake makes like a whine noise, almost like a turbo sound. Is that normal when driving hard?

My 11 does the same thing, thats the intake sucking air. i have 20k on the K&N and havent had any issues.

thats what I thought, Ive had mine on for well over 50,000 miles and not any issues. Just was curious on why it made the noise.

It is just the massive amounts of air going into the engine that makes that sound. Now most people do not know that the stock airbox acts like a muffler and limits the sound that the intake makes, when you remove the stock airbox for an aftermarket intake, you no longer have the muffler effect.
