20 years of making tires, is a baby in the business. It may be a solid protect. But lets get real for a minute. I have had tires ( michelins ) on my blazer. ( Canada made) That last a decade without flat spotting, get 70k out of them wear wize maybe more. No dryrot even after a decade. Today's chinese tires dry rot before 2years, I have relatives with tire failure and dry rot in less than 2 years. replaced reluctantly by costco. All this is relatively new phenomenon. Since china manufacturing. China production has always been about cost effectiveness and never about quality. The bottom line , your tires are one of the most important if not the most important safety component of the car. You can buy chinese, I am going to consider every other alternative first. I know its getting more difficult. But I can assure you one thing, I would say 90% of all the tires I have owned in my life have been made in North America, Some france and germany. Only 1-2 sets in china, and i eat this in 20k miles or less, even rears. and felt no confidence in handling ,especially in inclimate weather. not saying , I will never put chinese tires on the car, but they would have to give me a really good reason to do so. There is a lot of stuff coming out of mexico. I am not saying this is great, but Id give it go before chinese if given the choice.
As for the coopers, yes a lot of truck tires are being sourced over there in china., I have referenced the SST. And noted that the UPC is american made. UPC codes are issued by country of origin. So, that should help you buy tires and other products.
