key sticking in ignition

back when the truck was new i had this happen to me. i assumed the ingniton needed some graphite oil in it so i put a few drops in and it was fine till last week. from then till today it happened about 3 times. today was the worse , it was all i could do to get the key out. i took it out of park and put it back in just to be sure it was in park,made sure key was all the way off and it was. anyone else having this issue and what are some solutions? from what i hear this is a common occurance on some 4th gen trucks

The omly time it happened to me with my 2010 was when the battery was dead.

What year is the truck? Wonder if the ignition is going bad. I just put one in my 04 Grand, I had to wiggle the heck out of it to get it to turn.

My 13 does it constantly, right from the day i bought it,that frigging key sucks.

Mine did it today,. had to go into Dr appt with key in ignition. Came back, pulled out of parking spot, put in park, shut off, came out. Suggest driving it a sec, pull back into spot, see if that helps...I'm at a loss myself.

I've had that happen 3 times so far. Every time has been when I was just running in somewhere for just a minute. Starting it and the shutting it off didn't do anything for it. After I drove it when I shut it off the key came out. Next time it does it I'm going to try starting it, put it in gear, then shut it off. Maybe that will do it.

good to see im not alone in this, i did put a few drops of graphite in the igniton again amd after a day its alot better. hoping it stays that way

Last time mine did that I just put it in neutral back to park and it came out if its not in park right it won't come out

My '13 has done this. But i found each time the key was not inserted quite enough.

read some last night, soem say truck is confused, doesnt think it's all the way into park. Start truck, stick in drive, return to P, shut off and see if that works.

This just happened to my 2010. I disconnected the battery, waited 2 min. Voila.

I noticed my clock had reset to 12:00 yesterday. My battery may be failing...
I'll check it out.

My 14 has done this a couple times. I found its from the column shifter not being all the way in park. It is annoying sometimes.

mine has stuck like once but what freaked me out is the few times i stuck it in and it didn't feel right and it just turned didn't key on or anything took it out stuck it back in and all was good
