Hello all! Last November I bought a 2016 Laramie 1500 4x4 with the intention of not using it to tow anything, ever. 6 months into the ownership, my wife to be decided that tent camping, which we have always done, is no longer an activity she wanted to be a part of, so we "had" to get a trailer. I ended up buying a small 4600 pound TT (6200lbs loaded) and found the payload of the 1500 insufficient for the cargo, passengers, and tongue weight, so I sold the truck privately and picked up a 2018 Laramie. I ended up getting the 6.4 Hemi after doing some math and looking at the over all cost of the CTD.
Anyways, here is the old toy. Minor mods... Bilstein 5100s on all 4 corners, Rebel wheels, 34s, body colored bumpers, tail gate assist, 5" running boards. I loved that truck, but it had to give way to one with a lot more payload. It never had an issue towing, even going up steep grades from 1200 to 8300 feet of elevation.

And here is the new one. Other than the AMP power steps and a tail gate assist, it's staying how it is. (Maybe doing some minor interior stuff). It's got the same options that my 1500 had from the factory with the addition of a sport pack. They are great trucks.
