This is truly the way the ram lsd works in both the 1500 and the HD trucks. It is not a locker like the GM trucks use. It sucks but that is what we are stuck with. Someone above said it, they use a very low preload on the clutches so any little indifference in traction and it will light up one tire. Also putting the wheels up in the air and spinning them does nothing, you might feel a little resistance but it will act like an open differential in the air.
I have to ask two questions then
Question number one is what good is limited slip or as Ram says anti spin differential if it pretty much is the same as an open differential? Question Number two Is why in the hell would they put a rear that is that useless in there trucks and call it an anti spin differential? I really can't see any benefit to having this rear end in my truck if this is truly how this P.O.S. is supposed to work.
the truck with the Powertrax in it hit the rollers at like 15mph, while the others crawled on, then accelerated when they hit the rollers, if they had that momentum they would of made it too
