largest tire to fit

Hey brothers,

Will be replacing tires on my lifted 05 dodge ram 1500. Currently have a 7 inch maxtrac coil lift and a 3 inch rc body lift running renegade 35s on 20s with 12.5 width with no issues at all. Would like to move to 40s if I find 12.5 or 13.5.

Not a fan of wheel spacers so finding a more narrow AT tire (up to 13.5) will be challenging. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also not interested in regearing the back but maybe adding supercharger. Its a daily driver right now.

If it's a daily, I would suggest getting some 37s or 38s instead of 40s. As the old saying goes "just because you can doesn't mean you should."

You will be able to clear a 37 without spacers for sure, but anything bigger and your putting a lot of stress on your front end, and unless you have done a front axle swap, the ifs setup really won't hold up for long. Also with stock 3.55s on 40s your mileage will be around 6 mpg.
