My back windows is leaking just above the headrests when it rains. I have put waterproof silicone in the gap and even replaced the 3rs brake light and it still leaks. I can go through a car wash with high pressure water and it will be dry but when it rains it drips on the seat. I don’t know what else it can be. Anyone have the same issues and know how to make it stop?

First WELCOME to the group !

Have you check the roof antenna to see if loose ?
Was the third Brake Light gasket cleaned off real good ?
Maybe add another gasket on top of it ?
That's all I can think of that would leak from the roof
Also search on sight here and Google
There have been a few threads about leaks !
PLEASE UPDATE what you find ! Thanks

The rear window leak wont make it drip on the head rest or seat. Check the headliner to see if its wet. If it is wet then check the roof mounted antenna. Its not as common but I have heard of the roof seam leaking. Also, when you seal the window make sure you seal the entire top seam across the window

I’ll have to check to see if it is loose. The gasket that was on the replacement brake light was a lot thicker than the original and I did clean it before putting it on.

The headliner is not wet. Guess I need to check the antenna. If it is loose what’s a good way to fix it?

If the rain is getting through the third brakelight or the antenna mount, I would expect the headliner to have watermarks or wet areas.

AFAIK, there's a recall for 5th-gen 1500s, for the back window leaking.

@turkeybird56 will know about that.

And, welcome to Ram Forum.

The headliner does have watermarks and that was before I used the silicone on it, so maybe it’s the antenna

what year is the truck? If you remove the brake light you should have enough room to get your hand in there to reach the antenna. Even if its not loose its still possible the gasket is leaking.

3 tsb/warranty stuff. 3 warranties on 5th Gen 2019, but there were years involved etc.,. OP should go to Mopar Site and check warranties and TSB's particular to his VIN. IF OP has not made account, he needs to in order to check items. There is also a 2024 TSB recall for some software that is LISTED that I am personally not doing.

SORRY, could not find the PDF on the CHMSL and not remember if there is an Air Dam PDF, but ne body wanting to read can go to Mopar Owners site and LOOK under TSB/RECALLS and WARRANTIES, under their vehicle, ie., their account or MAKE an account, and see if posted for their vehicle and/or whether their vehicle qualifies, or do they need to print the letters and go fight.

I'm not familiar with the new gaskets on the third brake lights but if they're anything like the originals - they act excellent as sponges but horrible as gaskets!
I'd remove the light again, inspect for moisture inside in its mounting hole, and while you have it out throw the old/new gasket away and replace it with the item below. This will stop all water from entering at your third brake light!

10 ft. Black Large Rubber Auto and Marine Weatherstrip Adhesive for All Climates
