LED headlight conversions

I'm looking to upgrade to LED bulbs in the front, hi-low-fog. I'm not looking to change the headlight housing just the bulbs. Since there's literally 100's of brands out there ranging from $10 to $100+, my question is, what's everyone using for LED's in the Ram's?

I got this set. Made my horrid 2500 stock lights ultra bright. These babies will peel the paint off the vehicle in front of you at a stop light..... I did get some condensation in my housing, but I think if I had put a little silicone on the rubber gasket, it would have sealed much better. No alarms, no flickering, no burnouts so far in 6 months of use. The guy followed up a couple times after I bought them to make sure I was happy.

I use Vanquish Auto ( a vendor here) lowbeam and fogs. No isues at all for a couple months now

im also seeing that the leds are longer due to the built in fan or heatsinks, do they still fit under the sealed cover to keep the moisture out?

Definitely a tight fit, and I can't speak for other brands/styles, but the ones I got fit.

I have the morimoto 2stroke. They are a pretty great light. Great amount of lumens and a decent light path.

I am very happy with them and a must upgrade for the candle lights used in the quad.

Gtr lighting would have been my first choice as they have a better light path and higher lumens I believe but they had a few month wait.

I wouldn’t waste my money on cheaper ones.
Note:
You will have to modify the dust cap. I cut a hole in mine to get the harness through. Not hard at all. I sealed it with caulking.

As you can see in the pic i posted there ia alot of room for the cover to fit. No holes needed and gives the fan plenty of space

I bought cheapos from eBay. If they have the metal braiding as heat sinks, you can just tucking them in.

So far I'm happy. They are brighter but honestly my wife's 2002 CR-V throws better light and she has old school bulbs.

I've been using the OPT7 Fluxbeam-X bulbs in my lows and fogs for about a year. I've been extremely happy with them. WAY brighter than the stock bulbs and through light farther down the road. Road signs light up from much farther away.

I was able to fit everything into the light housing. It's a tight fit, but it works. I haven't notice any issues with condensation or heat.

I have been running Diode Dynamics SL1 highs & lows now for a couple of months, extremely pleased w/ the performance. Liked them so much I ended up replacing all of my incandescent bulbs w/ their LEDs. They're pricey compared to the imported options but worth it IMO. Engineered & manufactured in the US by a company w/ a great reputation for putting out quality products.

Nice. Getting ready to buy this setup myself. Any night shots besides your vids? Did you have to run their Anti Flicker modules as well? I'm not sure if I need to buy those or not.

The vid links & pics posted are all I have taken. I did install the anti-flicker modules, didn't try w/out. Assumed they would be needed given how sensitive the 15+'s are to LED upgrades from what I have read on the various forum threads. I have had no error messages, no issues at all... just great visibility. Highly recommend the SL1s & all of their other LED upgrades for that matter.

I have the supernova V3 from headlight revolution in my lows in fogs. They work pretty well and fit in the housing well with out any drilling.

I have the DD SL1s, too. Much better than halogens. I had to pay $190 shipped to my home. I had to get canbus modules since it's a 2018.

I never realized there was so many LED options available. I put some LED's in my Harley a few years ago which I like but they dont have the correct ones I need for the Ram. I'll have to do some more research on them. Thanks for all the info

Honestly, while the LEDs are way better than the stock halogen lights, I still want to switch over to projectors with HIDs eventually. The price difference between to two is quite large though. Especially if you buy OEM projectors. [emoji15]

Did you have to use any flicker/canbus adapter?
I've already tried one set of LEDs but they wouldn't even work with the adapters.
