I know I can't see crap with my stock projector headlights on my 2016 ram they are awfully dim and always have to use the fog lights to have any chance of seeing anything. Have almost hit 2 deer already because of this poor design.

I want to do a projector swap (morimoto v7) but want to do a H1 Led instead of HID for the speed of turn on. I would like to see if anyone has had any good luck with LED primary bulbs as well.

LED is way better than HID. HID just blast light forward. I'm sure you've all seen the on-coming vehicles that had them. Yes, they are annoying as all hell.

LED is really nice.

These stock headlights are way better than a GMC truck. His is 2WD and he can't stand how dim/no light there is on his.

Do a search for OPT7 on here and Google. Several members are running them and seem to be happy with them. I'm going to get some at some point, just gotta find the funds... about $100 for a set. I'm going to replace the low beams and fog lights. I hardly use the high beams, so not going to replace those.

I have done a complete OPT7 LED conversion on my trucks front lights (2015 with quads). Light output is INSANE. I do not suggest the CREE fog lights though. That's the only part of my lights I don't like. They just aren't worth the money for something that isn't that bright. I have Flux Beams High and Lows. Install isn't too bad, headlights do have to come out. I've had mine out so many times that the headlight gaps to the fenders are a little bigger than they should be. Not worrying about it. I had some problems hooking them up but it ended up being a bad CAN adapter for a high beam. Was covered under warranty, and they just sent me a new one, along with a stand alone harness. I ended up using the harness for testing only. After everything was said and done, I have High, Low, and Fogs LEDs (all OPT7) and no bulb out messages in the EVIC. Lights are instant on with no warm up. I love them. Well worth the time and money to get them installed. I do a lot of night towing up north and these lights really help. I haven't aimed them yet and Honestly I do get flashed a lot. Like every 15th car or so. I just flash back now that my highs are working. I haven't been pulled over yet but I'm sure I will. I only have experience with the FLUX Beams, I'm not sure about the other ones they sell. For what I do and how I use my truck they are perfect. Just need to be aimed. I'm looking at swapping the H10 fogs out to the new ones when they come out.

Oh, while you are in there, might as well swap out your 3157s. I had switchbacks for a little bit and loved them. But somehow they blew out so I need another set. Not sure what the issue with those are. I will get another set later.

Hope this helps, any questions just let me know. Good luck, keep us updated on what you decide to do.

Looking to do the OPT7 also.

I went to the Sylvania guide for bulb number and it asked if I had projectors or not. How do I confirm this?

From what I've read on other forums they don't reccomend using LED with the Morimoto Minis
