2018 Ram 1500 4x4. Looking for photos to get ideas on where and how to mount rear and front light pods or bars. I like the look of the flush mount in the rear bumper, but have you guys done any other ways that look good? For the front there is a license plate bracket to mount a 12" bar over the license plate. what do you think of that or have you guys come up with a better looking solution. Thanks

I put two 4” side shooters under my truck and wired them to my reverse wire in the trailer plug. I used a 2 3/4” muffler clamp to mount them to my receiver hitch. This way they’re tucked up out of the way and more adjustable than a flush mount that you have to cut holes in your bumper for. Plus, if you trade in your truck like I did, you can take your lights off and reuse them on the new truck.6F42932C-F82D-4DD2-81BD-4917597D715F.png7835C337-1173-4D16-8C1A-E17238629249.jpeg35ED7B32-F07F-4111-BB0C-6A98D337BF70.jpeg

I did a rear flush mount of some rigid 4 LED pods on my truck:

For the front I added a PIAA Quad Dual Row LED 20" bar that mounted inside the space where the tow hooks are:

Of course I had to wrap it all together with an HID kit from RetroShop:

Rigid SRQ pros in the tow hook block off plates. 30” black our curved single row from rough country under the chrome bumper. I use a 40amp relay hooked to a 2 channel Remote so I can turn them on an off with no wiring into the truck.

Rear I’m running superLEDs mini pods with home made brackets that mount to the hitch and I’m also running VLEDS rear backup license plate setup. the cleanest is the license plate light and the VLEDS one is super bright. The pods do a great job too at 1k lumens each and they have a 120* beam pattern. I can’t bring myself to cutting into the bumpers. So all my stuff is easy swapped out.

I don’t have any pics of the license plate reverse light. If I was to do it again that would prob be all that is needed and upgrading the stock reverse lights for a clean look. You can see the wide beam pattern of just the pods in the reverse camera shot.

I like the flush mount rear lights, but didn't feel like cutting then into my bumper. I had done that on my 95 Dodge. I went with more of a "oval" style LED, and used "roll bar" light clamps, attaching them to the trailer hitch mount.

90 degree brackets I bent out of 3/16” steel plate. Drilled and tapped for mounting through the hitch and the pods mount to the brackets via drilled holes I made 3 for each so I could adjust the depth.

Here’s a better shot with the pods and the license plate Vled backup light.

I'm right in the middle of the same situation here...

I have been wanting to pull the trigger on putting a couple of cubes up on the exterior of the A pillar...

And I've got these sitting downstairs waiting to be installed..

I have the same pods as Maddog mounted the same way but color matched granite crystal. The front I have a 30” bar I had gotten off Amazon that I had designed mounts for in CAD & sent it over to a local fab place to laser them out & bend them. I still kept the tow hooks.

Would you be willing to share the CAD file tou had cut and bent for the front mount?
