HI i have a 2003 dodge ram 3500 cummins with day time running lights i have hooked up an led light bar to high beams on a 3 way switch which works but when daytime running lights are on so is the light bar wondering if anyone could help me out thank you

A 3 way switch is when you have two different switches controlling the same light

Do you mean a toggle switch? It would have three positions- off-2, light-1 and light-3. In this setup only one set of lights will work at a time. The toggle should have 3 terminals. The middle one connects to the positive on your battery, while the other two connect to the positive of the lights. The lights are grounded to the truck with a screw/bolt.



If you want to put them both on at the same time, you would need two separate switches.
