I had my 21 BH set to honk on the second press of the key fob. Several days ago it stopped working. It locks fine but no more honk. No honk no matter what setting I change it to. It will start, unlock, and lock no issues but it will not honk.

Several days ago I also changed my interior bulbs over to LED. Footwell, vanity lights, map lights, rear overhead dome, and reverse lights all got swapped over.

Anyone experience this causing other issues with the truck? I heard about the third brake light messing with the fob but never the interior LEDs. Any thoughts as to which bulbs it may have been so I don't have to go play trial and error for a couple hours.

Never heard of this being an issue. Did you check in your radio as you can set the system to honk/flash lights when you press a fob button or set it to just flash lights. Depending upon your radio, the setting could have been changed due to an over the air upgrade or perhaps you took it to the dealer for service and there was an upgrade to the truck that caused it? First place I'd check would be the settings in the radio under "Settings".

Yeah thats the first check I did. Setting was unchanged. I set it to off, then back to the setting I had it on. Nothing. Then I tried the setting for honk with first press and nothing. This morning I set it back to honk on the first press and it actually worked but still no honk for the 2nd press setting. Im thinking just a software glitch maybe. I have not taken it to the dealer yet. Just got the truck on the 4th so it hasnt been in for any reason.

I've found with these FCA radios that you have to give it 48 to 72 hours for them to correct the problem before taking it to the dealer for service. These are amazing little computers in our high tech trucks and most of the issues seem to get corrected. I think you're on to something with the "just a software glitch" comment that may self correct...enjoy that great looking Ram!

It ended up fixing itself within a few days. I didn't do anything except switch it from single press honk back to the double press honk after however many days and it worked and has been ever since.
