Hey guys, hopefully I can find an answer through y'all. I have a '08 3500 dually SLT, and the electrical on my left side is slowly deteriorating in random spots. At first, the rear driver side door lost power/control from the door itself. Locks and windows wouldn't work from the rear door switches, but work from the main driver panel. Even the interior lights won't come on when the door was open. Next, my power seat got stuck in the full forward position, but every other function worked (up and down and lumbar), and after replacing worm gear and threaded guides, I have no power to my seat at all. Finally, my driver side brake light went out, so I replaced the bulb (checked with 2 new bulbs), and it still isn't working. Short of taking it to a mechanic and getting charged an arm and a leg, I have no clue what my next step should be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I believe the drivers seat cushion can be unbolted

There are YouTube Videos

Once the seat cushion is out, you can easily see the 3 or 4 motors through seat bracing.

I think that You will see that all the motors are the same, they just have different attachments.

Of course you can just remove the complete seat
then tilt it back & see which motor does not work & replace it with another motor.

Use a Multi meter to make sure that you have power where you should have it
....................................................

Power for the seats, likely runs under the door step cover

The power for the rear door should run through there too
If that rear door is used a lot
you may find a broken where where the wires run between the door post & the door

If i had that problem, i would look up a Auto Electric Shop
Check customer comments for each shop

Do NOT look at YELP comments

Based on what I found on my 2008 3500 Megacab: The door wiring harnesses are copper clad aluminum wiring. The wiring gets brittle in the convoluted tube connecting the door jamb to the door. Easiest solution is to buy a repalcement harness. The megacab has longer rear doors and takes a special harness. I solved that by getting a harness for a crew cab, (avaialble for immediate shipping off Amazon), and cutting off most of the harness, and then splicing front part of the harness, which is in the convolute tube, to the stock harness. The wiring in teh replacement harness I got was copper multistrand wire, and not the copper clad aluminum. So, it should last longer before it breaks.

Be careful to get the wires reconnected correctly. The right rear window on mine now has teh switch positions for up and down swapped. If I run out of more pressing projects, I'll fix it.

There are a couple of good videos on YouTube on replacing or repairing the door harnesses.

Yes sounds like you have a bad wire harness, the first thing to check, as J stated with his.
I seen a video , it was a chev truck power windows not working and it was broken wires in the rubber pipe between door and door jam .

Hey guys, I appreciate the responses. Small update, now my driver door speaker is not sounding, and even worse I had to replace my batteries and it won't start unless it has a jump start either from a battery pack or from another vehicle. I've gotten a a computer hooked up to it, and got multiple codes. U0141, B1A28, P2509, P0513, B210D, U0019, and there's about 8 more. I've looked em all up and there's no real answer as to what it is. Any ideas with this update?

Possibly a TIPM issue. Disconnect all the connectors and take it out. Check for corrosion anywhere.
