I have 35x12.5 kumhos on stock 20s with a 2'' spacer. I went with the bushwacker extend a flare and I love them. They fit perfect, painted with no issues and do not overtake the truck like many flares do. Overall left a very clean almost stock look to it. Also, did not have to relocate or remove the hemi badge. Everything fits nice and snug and lines up well. Also, not to hijack your thread, but has anyone ran any type of mudflap with flares?

Seeing this thread got me into looking for flares again. Ordered a set of tygers from Amazon. Be here Sunday off to the shop to be painted monday. Just hoping the -12 offset puts em out far enough so the tire doesn't look swallowed in there

Just as I worried the 2.6" the flare extends looks a little odd with a -12 offset. Looks like they will be getting returned...[emoji19]

I didn't like the front at all the tyger brand flares give about 2 3/4" of coverage and my -12 with 11.5" wide ridge grapplers looked way to small in there. A 12.5" tire may fair better. I just ordered a set of dt motos off eBay that gave 2" of coverage and that looked m8ch better to me. Those are going back as well bc they are damaged. EGR prepainted flares were just ordered that give 2" of coverage, hoping these are my last purchase of flares for a bit...lol.

I have 18x9s. The 2" coverage flares looked good. That extra 3/4" of an inch though was just to much for my taste. I'd venture to guess my wheel/tire combo is probably close to 1.5" extended of my fender now.

Just got my prepainted EGR flares in today. Pretty impressed with the paint job. Still waiting to fit them up. Only thing I though was kinda lame was the fake plastic bolts they use instead of real hardware.

Had a question for everyone as well, what seal does everyone use against the body? My flares came with the wiper style but I have the half round stuff as well. Which one do you guys prefer?

I have the ones that came with my Bushwackers but make sure whichever you use, put some clear protection tape where it sits against the body. After 2 months, it started to wear through clear coat. When I contacted Bushwacker about this, they said it’s “normal” and that they have a “small little disclaimer” about it in their instructions warning against this. Needless to say I was pissed. Never will buy their flares again. They should provide some kind of protection as much as they charge for their flares.

Mine came with chrome bolts but I bought some from this guy on ebay in flat black, he has many colors to choose. Mine were 3/8" long so that's what I requested, if you order some check your length first.

Pics of my install with the clear tape are in this thread

I just saw your thread using that clear body tape, definitely gonna do that. I wouldn't have thought to do it. Might grab a set of those bolts as well. Might do the gloss black to go with the paint match on the flares.

It takes extra time and patience to install the flares this way but it’s suppose to solve the problem of them rubbing thru the clear coat on your paint. I used 1/2” wide but you could go wider if you wanted, just need to be able to position it as you follow the masking tape curve. The first flare takes time but it gets quicker as you go.

I would like to take credit for the idea, but after reading a couple posts here about the flares needing clear tape I did some research and found a video. You’ll have to forward thru all the mud flap install BS but it shows the tape method. He doesn’t say what brand he uses but I found XPEL tape which is what they use to cover/protect entire cars.
