I have a 2015 1500 slt crew cab, I’m a sucker for the Fab Fours fender flares but the closest fit would be for a 2016 2500 model. With their pricing I don’t want to buy and not have it fit or not be able to trim to fit. Any tips on if this would work at all?

Not likely to fit. I would at minimum call the company when they open on the 2ndand talk to them before buying. Personally, I would look for another make that has the right one for your 1500.

Don't know Fab 4, I like Bushwacker products and have used quite a few. Good selection for pretty much all pickups.

If you have the 6.4' bed, the only difference body wise between the 1500 and 2500 concerning the fender flares is the 1500 bumper is slightly lower in relation to the headlights. The 2500 fender flares won't go all the way to the bumper, they'll be a little short.

Crash, I know the 2016 1500 is the old Gen 4 body style, but I thought the 2500 wheel wells had different arcs to them than the 1500, as well as the bumper differences. To be clear, all my 2500s have had 8' boxes.

Interested to know if I am wrong about that as that would make a few things a bunch easier.

The wheel well arch's are the same, as crash said, the only difference is how far the front of the flare extends down by the headlights. The 2500's are a little shorter, but if you have an Express\Sport, some folks say it looks better with the shorter flares. Scroll thru this thread and look at the pics, you should be able to pick out the difference.

The CrewCab sheet metal is the same between the 1500 vs HD trucks. The roof antenna is punched in a different location. The 6.4' and 8' bed is the same between the two, you can only get a two door 1500 with the 8' bed. There have been people who have done HD hood/grill swaps, fenders are not changed.

I have an SLT with a 6.4’ bed, my fenders are trimmed even with the arch of the top of the headlight. So what I’m gathering is they will fit, the only thing will be them possibly coming short?

The gas door on the 1500 short bed (5'7")is closer to the wheel arch than it is on the 2500 (6'4"),so the flare will probably interfere with it opening

For their fender flares I have no idea, and the years for accessories like that is akward. 1000 dollars for those compared to around 550 for more common bushwhackers, I don’t know if I should risk it for the biscuit.

Theres no risk. They will fit just fine. Its all the same metal between the 1500 and 2500. The only thing is the area up at the front bumper…the flare is gonna come up slightly short, kinda like right here…

But i must add…my opinion is those flares look TERRIBLE. But to each their own. They probly sell quite a few of them, so others must have the same opinion as you too!

It always looks off to me when they put fender flares on trucks with painted bumpers

Even the chrome ones look off
The aftermarket really dropped a stitch by not making a little section to cover that front
