Gah...making really hard for me to decided what I want to do next. It's a toss up between lights, audio, performance, or more cosmetics.... Those are really bright! What kit did you use to turn those hella into HID's?

That's correct. 55w HIDs are even brighter than 130w KCs. Ask Thor09, he can back that up too.

Are you running a 3 switch setup like me for the 10 lights?

One switch controls all 4 lights, then the regular high beam click activates lows, highs, and fogs. Yours was where the high beam click turned on your off road lights too, didn't you?

No I had two for each set of two off-road lights then a switch to turn on the fogs with the high beams. I like your set up better.

Oh I didn't realize you had all that. That's one thing I really wanted - all 4 wired together. I can't ever think of a time I'd just want 2 instead of all 4. Heck if I want light, I want LIGHT. It took me a while to get all 4 wired together and working without blowing fuses but I was finally able to get it. Now time for some HIDs in the reverse lights. :D

One thing that I found interesting in regards to something garner posted earlier. Somebody actually did a heat test with some halogen bulbs in off road lights vs. HIDs in the same lights and the HIDs actually burned almost 100 degrees cooler (245 vs. 144). So I'm no longer ever worried about my 55w heads and fogs, or even putting HIDs in the reverse housing. If they burn cooler than halogen I've got nothing to worry about.

Let me know how the hid in the reverse lights go. I am thinking of doing that. Oh by the way I think here in a few months I might be doing big things in my horse power department. :)

Awesome! Yeah I'll probably post some pictures here once I get the reverse lights going. I've got everything I need to do them...just need some time. If things go well, I'll get to it this weekend.

Well after many hours of trial and error and much frustration, I finally got my lights all working. I finally figured out part of the problem was to upgrade both fuses, and the power wiring, and the rest I used all the stuff that came with the Hella kits. By the time I got the wiring ran where I was happy with it, I was rather worn out. Hopefully I'll get some more shots tomorrow. These are BRIGHT!!

Setup is:

55w 6k heads and fogs
55w 5k Hella 700s x4
Sylvania Silverstar Ultras in the high beams

For a grand total of 10 lights.....bring on the darkness! :D

I bought it used from another Ram owner, but you can purchase them new. It's made by Westin. Just Google "Westin light bar for 09+ Ram" and you'll find it....comes in black or chrome.

Thanks!

Pretty sturdy as far as vibration etc?

Totally bolt on and doesnt lay against the bumper or anything?

Any chance you can take a picture of the lights and bar from the side? Better yet, add a yard stick or ruller into it to show how much room is still behind your lights?

I have some honkin' KC Daylighters I want to use.....not sure if there is enough room or not......

This is the only pic I have handy. The Hellas are only about 3.5" thick. I think the Daylighters sit more forward so I think they'll work fine.

It is definitely sturdy and doesn't vibrate. If I'm underneath the truck I use it to pull myself up and it hardly moves....granted I'm a featherlite at 160lbs though. lol

They bolt right on to the tow hook mounts underneath.

The wires are zip-tied so they aren't actually resting against the bumper although it may look that way.
