This is not my truck but I saw this truck working and had to pass it on. This photo gives a new meaning to the words "mobile office".

I usually just put my stuff over in the Power Wagon specific section, but might as well re-post here, for those that don't go over there. :head3:

Believe it or not, as I was contemplating spending the night on the beach alone, and doing A LOT of digging and other work the next morning, I thought I would give it one last try. Either it would work, or make things ten times worse.

I was going to air down, hit four low, all locked up, and aired down with the trailer disconnected. Figuring if I could get the truck to walk out, I could re-position and go back for the trailer.

I had just broke through the top crust of dry sand when I stopped to look for a level spot to set up camp (2WD) and by the time I noticed wheel spin and got out, the rear had already sunk in the quicksand to the point it was sitting on the rear hitch, and trailers, tongue mounted spare.

A kind local fellow with an older Cummins 3500 dropped by, and was kind enough to position his truck within range for a winch pull. We chocked up his wheels, hooked up, and started tugging, while applying slight throttle.

IT WALKED RIGHT OUT! Trailer and all without even breaking a sweat!

Power Wagon and it's 12.5k Winch FTMFW Big Time! Didn't even have to break a sweat, get dirty or anything. I was set up and roasting wieners at my camp spot about 50 feet further up away from the water line in 20 minutes or less. Whole PW package just paid for itself and then some in one quick event.

Only damage was a little clear coat scratched off the rear aluminum wheels from spinning in the sandy/rock soil. A small price to pay, and a little battle scar earned to remind me in the future. No big deal. It did take about five loads of quarters at the local jet spray wash to get the muck out of the inside of the rear wheels, calipers, rotors and bumper though. But, NOTHING compared to what it could have been, having had to do the same after some insane towing fees should another Dodge owner not come along wanting to play and help me out of a sticky situation.
