Hey Everyone!
I've been driving a long bed 2021 Chevy High Country 2500 Duramax for just over a year and am really tired of all of the gadgets breaking.
It's a great running truck but WAY too may electronics!
I have decided to sell the Chevy. I have a lot of equity in it and can almost trade it straight across for a 2017 Laramie long bed Cummins.

The Cummins has 117k miles, frame, engine, trans, under carriage all look really good. The body is a little rough, but it's a work truck for me.
The front end has some weird slop in it that feels like ball joints and bearings on the driver side. The front track bar has a lot of movement in it as well.

I was wondering if a Carli leveling kit would help alleviate some of the early tire and front end wear.

I tow a lot for work, generally average about 200 mile trips with about 10-15k weight.
I don't want to lift the truck, just level it.

What do you guys think? Is it worth leveling?
I had a 2016 long bed Cummins Laramie for years and it ate front tires like crazy! I loved everything else about the truck though.....wish I still had it!

Well if the track bar has a bunch of slop in it, that is obviously the first thing to replace regardless if you level it. As far as leveling it goes, thats a personal thing. Some love it, some hate it. But you cant go wrong with carli.

They can be a little hard on tires, but its not like they are designed to eat tires like the old twin traction beam ford front ends lol. If they were getting eatin’ up then you had other issues (worn components/bad alignment etc.).

My experience is that tires don't last long, but you should still get at least 25k on cheapo tires, 30-40k on a good set. Even then they should still wear evenly. If you are getting weird wear patterns or they aren't even lasting 25k then you have an alignment issue. But other than adjusting your drag link and getting an adjustable track bar leveling won't affect much regarding alignment. Those are mostly to keep the steering wheel centered, they have little to nothing to do with tire wear.

Thanks guys
My tires weren’t wearing in odd patterns
The front tires just seemed to wear so fast that I started rotating tires every 2,500 miles
I was just wondering if leveling the truck would shift redistribute the weight a little bit
Also wondering if aftermarket parts would hold up better

A leveling kit wont really make the tires last longer, if everything else is in the proper condition. However if your suspension is stock/original parts, your shocks are due to be changed as they are at end of lift. This will help ride comfort and MIGHT help with tire wear if your shocks are completely toast at this point.

We offer Carli and many other brands. Message me if you would like a quote

Naaaa, dosnt really shift any weight at all. That heavy ass cummins is still sitting directly over the front axle, just a few inches higher lol.
