I put a 2.5" level on the front of my truck and swapped out my tires from a 245/70/17 to a 285/70/17s. And I can't tell my truck has raised up any! I've pulled up next to stock ram 1500s in parking lots and stuff and try to compare my truck and I just don't see much of a difference if any at all! Is there anything I can that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to make a dramatic difference in the height of my truck?

Well how about this measure from the ground to the bottom of the fender. We can then compare that to stock and we will know where you are at. I will measure mine if you want I have larger tires but otherwise stock so that would give you a couple trucks to compare to.

Here is mine http://www.ramforum.com/f17/how_we_rank-7256/index9.html#post221591
