I can't decide if I should level or lift my 2015 SLT Big Horn. If lift how much should I lift. I don't want "monster truck" look just an aggressive look. I will be running with stock 20 inch for now. Any pic and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

If you're looking for subtle, level first. Then if you want a little more, raise the back 2" as well.

you can't raise the back 2" using coil spacers unless you want to be replacing shocks...1.5" max

Hi Jack.

look at some pics of leveled and lifted trucks and decide what you want. Ultimately you are the one who has to be happy with the truck and you are the only one who can say what you really want.
Personally I want to lift and the more I think on it the more I am liking the 6" BDS or Zone kits. Yeah they cost a bit but they are quality stuff.
If $ are the main concern level and see if it's enough.
In any case good luck and have a great day,

preachp

Use bilsteins to level, that way they're still usable if you add a suspension lift.

It really depends on what you're looking for and what you use your truck for. Personally I think these trucks look great leveled. I also think they look even better lifted. But for the money, you can't go wrong with a level.

Then theres the practical side of things. If you're going to be driving your family around, I'd stick with a level. I would love to lift mine but I with a wife and two kids, for me it's just not practical. That's why I went with a level. Once I ditch the Goodyears and go with a more aggressive tire, I'll be pretty happy with the look.

If practicality isn't a problem, go for a lift. But like preachp said, if you're going to lift spend the money and do it properly.

Hank, what size tires sand wheels are those? I just got my Bilsteins and the way your truck sits is the look I'm going for.

Actually these were +18. When I originally got my wheels in 2013 I ran 275/65/20 on my 2012 ram because I didn't want the tires to stick out...Then a month back when I bought my 2015 ram I kept wheels and swapped 275/65/20 tires for 35/12.5/20 tires shown in picture above. They now stick out as shown in pic and I love the stance. Very pleased with this setup. I had flares but took them off as I felt it took from the look.

Looks great, thanks for the info. You're not running a spacer at all?

Lifted

I lifted my 2015 Sport 6" and have 20x9 wheels and 37/13.50 tires. I love the way it looks, the ride is still better than my 2014 Ram 2500 and the road noise from the tires doesn't bother me although it might not be the same for everyone. I personally love watching the struggle when people are trying to get in. It has also gotten me out of being the person who drives everyone every where. :favorites13:

My Opinion on levels...

Run an all terrain tire, offset is just enough to have the tire stick out a hair, looks good. Anything else, meh. I wouldnt run a m/t with a non lifted truck unless you have a strong reason to do so. Riding around in a small truck with knobby ride just doesnt compute to me. I also wouldnt run 35s with a level, unless I had 3.92s stock and thats still a MAYBE. Definitely not with other gearing, just not worth the power loss and extra wear when not lifted. I would just stick with a 33 or 305/55r20. You would be surprised how much bigger/better/aggressive they look than the stock tire.

Levels arent really good if you crave a modded truck. Its just not enough.

Lifting gives you a lot of options and variations that can all look good. Cencal/Stuffed/Proportional styles etc.

read some of the posts about problems with lifted trucks and then decide.
