Have about 150 miles on my new to me ‘17 1500 4x4. Want to raise it a little but not get rid of the rake completely.

Thinking bilstein 5100 at 2.1 in the front and maybe the TC-1223V springs in the rear. I need to find some flat ground and measure where I’m at now, but reading the tuftruck website it looks like those springs would bump the rear .75”?

I’m planning to run a Decked system 24/7 and a topper probably 80% of the time. Guessing about 400lbs with both in. Would the 1223V be fine or are the regular 1223 a better option?

Would I need new shocks in the rear with the new springs? Or just a good idea l?

Vehicles do feel a little weird when they have significantly different shocks front and rear, I'd imagine if you had Bilsteins up front and stock in the rear you'd get a little "buckin bronco" action over speed humps and similar terrain features just due to the signature Bilstein digressive profile vs. the more linear stock shocks.

Not a show ender by any means, just something that would bother me if it was my truck.

That will depend. Are you offroading or just looking to carry more weight with stock lenght shocks ?
If offroading, there are better options, Icon 1.5" rear springs. They're 19.5" long so you can run longer shocks. Topper, decked system, sounds like expedition tasks with offroading in mind. Tuff trucks springs are a little too short, the 1223's are 17 3/4" long, your stockers are 18.5", so when you put your truck in 3 wheels with something like the 1" 5100 rear shocks, you may run ito issues with dropping a coil out of their bucket. Don't get me wrong those TT coil springs are great for work trucks, Most have linear rates unless you went for the progressive ones. Liner rates are much simpler to understand, so *** amount of weight will sag them 1" etc. Is all about choices of course. pick your poison there is plenty to choose from.

Icons will give you around 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" rear lift depending on what cab you have. 400lbs will sag them about 1/2" in a crew cab, 1000lbs will sag them about 1". I ran Icons for about a year with about 400-450lbs of permanent weight and they were awesome coils.

If you want to follow my journey I document everything i install, good or bad have a little space in there :)

Have fun man, post some pics with the deck system and topper. Billies at 2.1 will be a nice setup.

Quite the build thread! I’ll have to set aside some time to read through it all. Thanks!

When you looking to sell your old UCAs?
They’re available now. I just need to clean them out a little since they’re all dusty but otherwise ready for service.
