I think I've decided on the hell bent 2" kit for my 2013 express CC 4x4. From what I've read this seems like a good kit. My questions are will I need new shocks and will I need an alignment afterwards

No you will not need new shocks (while it never hurts to upgrade;)) and yes you should always get an alignment after altering the suspension.

Is this a good kit? Are there others of similar quality at better prices?

Rough Country makes quality products, top gun customs makes good stuff, I have heard their customer service has been a little lacking lately. Bilstein adjustable 5100's will give you the best ride quality

I got one off Ebay that was equal quality to HBS for about $50 w/shipping. It had welded studs, powdercoated, full seam welds all the way around both plates, and came with the plate required for the 08(?) up strut assembly. Just read the descriptions thoroughly lol.

Somehow I find it hard to believe you got equal quality to HBS on a 50$ eBay item. I'm not saying it won't work but it's probably lower grade materials

I think I would check with fastNugly to see what he can get you. There are a lot of good products out there. Since I don't have a 1/2 ton I don't have any good info for you, but HBS makes good stuff.

I have a HBS 2.5" and have had no problem with it at all. Very reasonable price and seemed like nice people to deal with.

Anyone know if the Hell Bent leveling kit leaves any rake, or does it completely level the truck?

My truck is 2 3/4 in higher in the rear so I bought the 2" kit to leave a little rake

What he said. Depends on your current rake and if you want rake still. Then you buy 2" or 2.5" based on your preference.

Ok cool. I'll probably do the 2.5" then since I don't want any take at all and right now it's pretty noticeable.

Had mine aligned day after install and glad I did. They said it was way off, although it felt fine while driving. Haven't had it checked since so I don't know if anything changed. Tires are wearing fine so far.

Any one have any suggestions for what wheel offset to go with on a set of after market 20 inch wheels and tires? I am going to install a 4 inch suspension also. I'm wanting to do the lift and add the new wheels and tires at the same time. What do I need to go with any suggestions?
