I recommend extended shocks instead of the relocation brackets. I ordered extended shocks with my rough country kit. I don't trust those brackets. My truck's ride feels much better than stock.

Exactly what he said ^^. Longer shocks will be a far better option than shock extenders and you might as well get some decent ones while you're at it. I'd recommend Bilsteins or Fox. What leveling kit are you looking at?

You'll also want an adjustable front track bar to recenter the front axle and avoid death wobble issues. Either BD Diesel's or BDS's track bar is what I'd recommend.

We unbolted the track bar to get the diff lower. We bolted the track bar back on. now i'm reading all these things about leveling kits and track bars. I didn't think i'd have to mess with that.

i'm starting to get alittle concerned about the track bar. why do they need adjustable track bars?

when you center, center as in parallel with the rear diff or center as in the passenger wheel sticking out of the fender while the driver's wheel is inside?

When you increase the height of the front end you change the angle of the track bar and drag link. The drag link is adjustable so that's not an issue however a stock track bar is not. The stock one is now too short and your entire front differential will be offset to the drivers side of the truck.

The best one out there that i'm finding is $395 for a Carli adjust track bar.

I called a local shop that works on the our trucks. They said it's not necessary for leveling kits. if you want to bring the truck into it's original geometry, get it. I asked if it will damage or cause any premature wear. They said, no. they said that carli track bar is the best out there.

My buddy at work put a 2.5inch leveling kit on his 2007 ram 2500 4x4 back in 2007. he just noticed his front end not line up. He hasn't had any issue.

I doubt you will regret a better track bar. I was honestly surprised at the difference in cornering feel between stock and the Thuren's adjustable bar. The truck feels more stable and better planted than it did with the stock bar.

Check out the Pure Performance bar. Thats what I put on my Mega. It's the same as the others without the rediculous price.
I love carli products but dang... It's not THAT nice for some of the hard parts.

Dammit, and why couldn't you get on here a few hours earlier and tell us this? My CarlI track bar already shipped.

All this talk of having to buy a new track bar with a level is making me not want to do it even more. The leveling kit I ordered a few months after I bought the truck is still sitting in the office waiting to be put on, but I was hesitant because I hate having my nose up in the air when I tow or have anything in the bed. The only reason why I was going to do a level was strictly for looks as it serves no other purpose for me not even off road. Now hearing about this track bar kind of puts the nail on the coffin for the leveling kit that is still just sitting there in the box.

I agree southtexan im probably gonna leave it alone just put on a lil bigger tire on it when factory wear out. I thought with just a level and new shocks i be out like 300 but then needing this needing that kinda not worth it to me

That's what I was hoping for too. Leveling kit w/ install cost me 260. tires 900. Now an additional 400 for track bar. But the more research i'm doing, the more i'm learning the track bar isn't necessary for a leveling kit. I'm very picky and a perfectionist. I want my axle to back 1/4 of an inch.

Just to let you know, before i installed the leveling kit, I was able to fit 35x12.50r18 on the stock 18 inch wheels. Drove around, up and down steep driveways. Still had plenty of clearance w/out the leveling kit.

I chose to do a BDS Level with Fox 2.0 Shocks. It rides way better than stock, but I figured I'd chance not needing a new adjustable track bar. I installed the level my self wasn't bad, then I had it aligned. It's been good so far. but a track bar is on the list.

And yes it is way more expensive than it seems. I'm not sure why, but mine seems front high now, so now I'm looking at a rear 1" spacer. I've measured it and it's really 1/2 " higher in the back. I believe its the lines on the truck that make it look front high. I tow and haul, so I really don't want my headlights creeping up.

Good luck, keep us updated.
