Hi All,
I tried looking up the best way to level My 4th gen Rebel in my driveway (garage unavailable) for a differential fluid change but all I see is transmission fluid change details. What's the best way, or best reference to level the truck?
Thanks :)

When I replaced the pinion seal on my 1500, I only lifted the rear end. I measured the amount of fluid that drained and added an ounce for a reference since it just started leaking. When I refilled the rear diff, that turned out to be almost exactly where the fluid just started to come out the fill plug hole.

Crawl underneath it,pull the drain plug, let it drain, put plug back in,pop out the rubber fill plug in the cover fill it up till you can feel the fluid with your pinky finger just slightly bent, pop rubber plug back in and drive away. As long as your driveway is semi level you're good to go.Been servicing diffs for 50 years, and i can't say as i've seen anybody worry about leveling the vehicle, most jack it up till you can get underneath it if you don't have a lift, but you should be able to get under your truck pretty easily

Would you say the same for the transfer case?

Yup,the only thing you have to level on a fluid change is the 8 speed transmission
That was super simple. Definitely never getting that done at a shop again lol. Reason I had to do it was i was getting chattering in the rear diff, mostly from turning at a standstill . I only had it done about a year ago at Mr.Lube. They put , apparently, " Redline 75W-90 ". I question it because I just did the front diff and they needed to add LSD additive to it, and claimed to have checked the transfer case fluid but they was no evidence of opening the fill plug.
The fluid was clean looking and I ran a magnet through the bottom of the unit and only pulled out some dust. I say dust because there was no pieces or shavings, it was very very fine. I refilled with Royal Purple synthetic 75w-140 and Mopar friction modifier. I know i probably didn't need the modifier but i figured in case I'll add it. Day 4 and it seems to have helped. Oddly enough it feels smoother around turns at higher speeds too.
