I am ordering a lift next month, which I have yet to decide. I was leaning towards a RC 6in. I called a local shop to get a quote to have it done, he quoted me 2k installed and aligned. Not unreasonable, however he said he would not give me any warranty because he has had nothing but problems with rough country. He said he has had multiple issues with bent or broken brackets.

Has anyone running a RC lift had issues with it?

I am also considering installing it my self, in that case id have some extra budget available to buy a better kit, suggestions?

I put my zone 6/5 lift on the week of Christmas. Never done it before now that it's said and done it wasn't that bad. Took a good long weekend . But it's done and I did it which is more satisfying to me.

I probably wouldn't go to a place that says they have issues with RC lifts... maybe it's installer error? And 2k is a good price, throwing a 4in RC lift on Friday and that's running me 2k.

I installed the RCX 6in on my own truck, only problem with the kit I was shorted 2 bolt and nut going to the control arm drop down bracket. But they sent another kit with the bolt the following week.

The Zone is a better kit in my opinion as you get a whole new spring for the back instead of a spacer. I did the 6" kit with the 5" rear coils and love the look and ride quality.

Are the zone directions easy to follow? I've glanced at the rc instructions, they seem to be step by step which is nice. I do like the fact that zone replaces the spring. Also I saw that rc offers crossmember support bars, are these needed??

The Zone instructions aren't as nice as the RC instructions, but I had a copy of both when doing my Zone lift just for clarification. The guy helping me do the lift does it for a living and knew his way around the truck, so it wasn't bad at all.

Unsure of the cross member support bars???

my philosophy is that you should always go for the best quality not the best price when youre lifting your truck. A poor quality lift can actually do more harm to your truck than any good, and more importantly youre dealing with your suspension components so you can possibly be putting your safety at risk by installing poor quality lift. So if you feel like you are a bit short on cash, I would suggest you wait a little bit and save up on a higer quality lift. Just my personal opinion thoughtI'd throw it out there. I am not trying to be rude or tell u wat to do.
