Yup... You read it right... What are my options to get Lift the rear 1-2" and level the front to that?

Apparently there's issues with 2014 1500 ball joint and arms. So I guess I need to think of that.

I'm on a limited budget, can't afford to much. I have three daughters, I'm sure you all understand why now...

You have no options other than a full suspension lift. Since the front is typically 3" lower than the rear, you'd have to lift the front 5" to be level with a 2" rear lift

Level the front then add either a 1.5, 1.25, or 3" body lift

I don't know that I'd level a 2014 without upgrading the upper control arms. I'm assuming 4WD though?

If you did the upper control arms, you could level the front with spacers or leveling shocks and run 1" - 1.5" rear coil spacers.

As mentioned above, you could do a body lift, but that won't level you. I wouldn't cheap out on this though being there is a known issue with leveling the 2013+ trucks.

One other question, air ride or no?

you definitely wont level the front with 2" of rear, 1 inch you'll be close with bilsteins maxed out or 3" spacer, its much simpler to set the front where you want it then get the back end where you want it in comparison to how the front sits

No it's actually a 2wd.

And as for airbags, I'm not sure. Isn't that pretty expensive?

Can someone explain how a body lift actually works? Cost?
Pro's and Con's?

I was asking if you had the factory air ride. 2WD makes a difference on lifts and levels. I'm not familiar with suspension on 2WD's.

Body lifts are the same either way. They're inexpensive compared to suspension lifts. I've seen 1.25" and 3" body lifts. I'm getting ready to put a 3" on my truck. Basically you lift the body from the frame and put in spacers. Have to move the bumpers up with brackets and put a steering extension in for 3" lifts. A few other details like moving the spare tire crank up and a couple brake line mounts. I'm doing mine myself but I've worked on my own vehicles since I could drive. Not supposed to be real difficult though.

Oh yeah, sorry. Everything is stock on the truck.
Just got it a week ago. All I've done so far is debadge it and tint the windows.

It seems like a lot for a body lift, but it might be less compared to a suspension lift.
I really just want to level it, and I was hoping to get the rear a little higher while bringing up the front. But it's seeming like a lot needs to be done to get what I'm looking to achieve.

I've saw a few guys talking about spacers for 2WD. Could always add a 1.25" body lift for a little extra.

Not sure if you're lookin' at tires, but these trucks look great on a level and 34's.

So what are my options to just level it for now?

- spacers
- replacement shocks
- I heard spindles somewhere

And on the 2014 - 2WD, do I need to swap anything else out to level the truck? Hearing ball joints, upper arms, etc.

Did a search on leveling. Tried to knock it down to 2WD but there's everything in there about leveling. Also posts about the upper control arm issues. You can ask around or see if anyone with 2WD is having this problem.

Level the front with a 2" spacer and add a body lift for more height

or spindles and a rear spacer

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is the most cost effective way to do this, and other things that need to be done in the process.

Do I need new upper control arms, ball joints, etc?!

2" level plus 3" body lift= $400

OR

4.5" spindles + 1.5" rear spacer= $650

Nothing else needed. Good thing about 2wds!

Feel free to keep asking any questions, I got you covered...ive done it all lol

Man you're awesome!!! I guess there's only a few of us that have 2wd on here.

So of course my next question is what are the pro's and con's to adding a 2" level kit for the front, or 4.5" spindles. Idk why I was thinking spindles were to lower it. Crap idk... Haha

2" level=cheap, con is affects ride quality/suspension angles a little bit
4.5" spindles=best riding lift and doesn't affect ride quality/suspension angles, no cons
3" body=cheap and doesn't effect ride quality, no cons in my opinion besides install time, which if you don't do it yourself may be a bit pricey at shops

Spindles actually "lower" your wheel assembly which in turn "lifts" your truck

Just noticed you have a 2014, Im afraid that there hasn't been much testing regarding the ball joints on 2wds. So I would stay clear of the spacers just in case, unless you can find a manufacture that guarantees there will not be a problem. From quick searching, I haven't seen any spacers for 2014, but have seen them for the 2013, hmm.

Stick with the spindles and a rear spacer if you want a factory ride

Yeah that's what I'm leaning towards. Spindles (4.5"), and probably a 1.5"-2" spacer in the rear.

Anything else need to be changed in the process?

And has anyone else used these spindles on a 2014? I would think there the same.
