!!!! NEWBY ALERT !!! I just bought a 2014 1500 QC 4×4 5.7. I really like the wide wheel stance well outside the fenders , my ? is with a 6" leveling SL and 3" BL can I run 12" wide wheels with 35s without rubbing issues ?
I haven't decided on what type SL ,BL or type of wheel and tire combo yet , so comments on the best overall types of lifts and light weight tire and wheel combo would also be appreciated !
I'm not up to speed on the Bilistine shocks ( lots of guys running them on here) I'm also not up to speed on wheel spacing lingo so if y'all don't mind I need some educating in that department as well ...

Oh , I'm also on the market for fender flares and 3 step style nerf bars ( the 3rd step would gain access to the fwd end of the bed ) and has anyone tried the retractable style steps that gain access to the tailgate area with the tailgate open or closed ?? Thanks guys !

there are guys on here running 20x12's on 35's with lifts smaller then what your talking about above ^. It can be done, it just depends on how low of an offset rim you get / side wall tread on whatever tires you decide to buy.

you clearly want a wide stance, but that much lift on 35's may make that rubber look really small.

I was considering 37s I just don't want to have to regear .
I was thinking of just an 8" suspension lift , but I haven't found one listed for the 14s yet.
I also am considering a 6" SL. then decide on a BL of the correct size once I have everything else installed , I'm not a huge fan of BL s but I'm not opposed to the idea either .

My plan that has been verified is a 6" lift with bilsteins set at 2.1" will clear 20x14 with 35's so 20x12 should for sure clear.

20x12 wheels come in a -44 offset which is in millimeters. Off set is the position of the face of the rim to center line of of the rim. Minus offset moves the face deeper giving you more lip or dish and sticking the wheels out further. The plus offset would give you a smaller lip and put more tire under the truck. Also in conjunction with offset goes back spacing. The more positive offset the more back spacing. The more negative offset the less back spacing.

Hope I made this understandable and helped you out some.

Wow 20× 14 s that's awesome ! Are you running that set up now , or know someone who is ? I'd love to see pics !
You mentioned that 20×12s come in a -44 offset , do all 12s come with a -44 offset ? Also will a negative offset cause premature wear on wheel bearings ? I hope I don't sound like an idiot but is backspacing the amount the wheel goes inboard of the outboard edge of the hub ?

Every 20x12 I have seen come with -44 offset. 20x14 is a -77 offset and most I have seen in a20x10 is a -24 offset.

Back spacing is from the face if the wheel where it sits against the hub to the outside edge of the wheels. So a negative offset will have a lesser back spacing because the center line of the wheel is moved towards the inside edge.

I have heard that it could cause bearings to wear out faster but after having quite a few custom vehicles, if you change anything suspension or wheels and tires wise from how it was stock **** breaks and wears out faster.

Anyone got pics of your 4th gens with a wide wheel stance ? If so please specify your set up ie... backspacing , spacers ,width of wheels and amount and type of your lift ...
Thanks in advance !
