7600 pounds for 4 tires.
? 2756 X 4 = 11024

The truck prob. has a max weight of around 7600 though.

You can order most truck tires in different load ratings. Like my bfg ko2s can easily be bought in load c, d or e. I thought the H was speed rating, but the other guy sounds more sure.

Load H tires are like 16 ply, unheard of in a ram that I know of.

The "H" is a speed rating. The speed rating for that tire is max 130 mph.

If you google "tire speed ratings" it will give you the other speed ratings they also use on different rated tires.

Thanks guys

The 116 is a 'load index' Most tires now are going to this instead of a 'Load Range'

The 'H' is a speed rating, for this tire it is 130mph as BF said

Yeah I have load E's on my 1500, kinda regret it, it's like driving on marbles
ive found airing them down to 40 PSI helps a lot
i dont even think i need the E load (the only reason i bought a 3/4 ton truck is because i wanted something study enough to plow with) but i thought it made sense to keep the parts somewhat matched to the whole

Being a bit old school (and old-ish) I was a bit confused with ratings when I recently bought a set of tires for my 1500. I'm used to the letter designation and expected to get a set of LT rated tires for the truck and look at the letter load rating from there.

First surprise was the lack of LT tires in my tire size for the 20" rims. The more I thought of it, maybe I really didn't want LT tires on that low of a profile. Then the whole XL (extra load rating) and the load index came into play. So, the Michelin Defender LTX/MS2 tires I bought should be fine for anything I want to tow, though I haven't towed much with them yet. Contrary to the name, they are not "LT" tires, but are XL rated for whatever that's worth.

This description from discount tire got me up to speed on the new load index scheme. Maybe it's been around a while and I just wasn't paying attention. It seems when tire shopping, they could use the old letter designation or the new, and ply rating is an equivalent thing, not necessarily the # of plies used.

I just put new Michelin Defender LTX MS2's on my RAM a few days ago....they are 116 rated and XL's.....boy do they ride smooth......great tires. We pull a small travel trailer and car trailer at times.....these tires will definitely outperform the original Bridgestones they replaced.
