Can anyone tell me what the load rating on their 20" spare is?

I am in the process of making a 20" spare with a real tire.

Just got a steelie but load rating is 1800 lbs. Not a big deal, my truck weighs 6000.

I didn't find any info on the older wheels, but the newer stock 6 bolt wheels (most all of them) have a load capacity of 2050 lbs., including the aluminum spare wheels.

Which surprisingly matches the rear axle rating of 4100 lbs. on the 5th gen.

I have a stock 17" aluminum 4th gen spare wheel and tire, if I get a chance I can look at it tomorrow and see if it is stamped on it anywhere.

If you are thinking about switching wheels to have a spare

The Center Bore, which is the hole in the center of the wheel,
The spare steel wheel center bore is different than the center bore of the other 4 wheels

You will have to modify the plate that holds the spare up

The center hole in steelies are bigger than my alloys. The reason i went with a steelie.

I noticed that my spare center fits hubcentricly on the hub. It appears that the new one will too.

I plan on making a video since there was nothing on youtube about this wheel.

I don't see anything that looks like a capacity number on the back of the aluminum spare wheel, but I didn't have really good lighting.

I would think that it should be about 2000 lbs or more as the axle rating is 3900 lbs.

I just reused my 17 Aluminum spare wheel and put a E-load 285/70/17 tire on it as a spare for my 275/60/20's - it is the same height as a slightly used 20" tire.

My 17 spare does not have a load rating stamped on it.

Well so far so good looks like the the 20" steely does fit and clears everything and no issues with the winch or the hub.

Going to get a full size tire tomorrow.3909fe7c9d95ecd9ef9f673923badf6e.jpgf978309f47588b115f687e0512f642fa.jpg

I just did the same thing for my 2014 Big Horn. I tow a 26 tow-hauler weighing in at 7300 with bike and gear. My last outing I hit something and caught a flat. Thank god for TPMS. Anyway had to drive with the 17 inch spare for two days waiting for the tire shop to get my new tire. Never again. When I got home I ordered a 20 inch steel and another tire. I run Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus Tires. Higher load rating than the factory Goodyears
