I was having issues with my key fob not unlocking or locking my truck. Changed the batteries, cleaned the contacts in the fob etc etc.. Followed all the self help stuff on youtube. Finally broke down and purchased a new key fob and had it programmed to my truck. Was working great for about 6 to 10 months.
Now it is not working again. I have to sit outside my truck pushing the buttons to get it to unlock or honk when I press the lock button. Once it does that I am able to unlock the truck. I have also found that if I take the valet key out and insert into the door lock and turn it just a tiny bit I can then get the key fob to unlock the door.
Any thoughts on what might be the issue?
Is there an internal module that can be tested?
