i have looked at them. but they dont have one that fits my are rest console. the posted one seams to be my best bet. but says it installs with self taping screws. that does not sound to safe to me.Try here, https://www.tuffyproducts.com/
Tuffy also makes security lids for the storage wells in the floor of the Crew and Mega cabs. The great thing about getting them from Tuffy is they will key them all alike if you wish.
What would you be looking to put in this secure box that is so valuable to trust in a vehicle that can be entered so easily. If it's valuable or at worst a weapon, it should NEVER be left in an unattended car in the first place in my opinion. Those cases only slow down the person not prevent them from taking what's inside.
I would say if you looking for a safe then can't go wrong with the lockr down option at all. Only way to gain size in the safe is to swap to a full console pretty easy to do then put a safe in or you even have the following option for the rear floor storage from them that i might do my self at some point.I have all kinds of stuff in my truck I don't want stolen. I don't care if it's only worth a buck or two. Despite your opinion, locking a firearm in your vehicle for a short amount of time is a widely accepted and absolutely legal method of securing it. Over 6% of Americans conceal carry firearms, but there are places that you legally cannot enter with it. This is a perfect reason to have one of these safes. I doubt the OP is going to use this device as his long term firearm storage safe. If a person is out and about and finds a need to visit a particular business that is a restricted location, they can safely and securely lock the firearm in the vehicle safe and then lock the vehicle.
yes
If you do a little fact checking, you'd see that once these are installed correctly, they are nearly impossible to get out or into. On top of that the vast majority of car robberies are smash and grabs and thieves rarely take the time or have the tools to pry/drill/beat these things open.
not sure if this for me. but i cant find anything on the one im looking at. onlt the jump seat safe.
Here you can watch this, it may not be the exact safe the OP was inquiring about but shows the results if time and determination are on the perpetrator's side. And as for my opinion. I am far from some liberal tree hugging anti-gun nut. I'm a retired police officer and would never leave my firearm in some "car safe" unattended, regardless of what rules apply to some building or location. But then again, my carrying was allowed over the average citizen into these locations and yes there are people and places where carrying a firearm is as common and care free as carrying a comb and dropping it in some 1/16th thick tin box will give them the satisfaction of being safe... Not me. Just my opinion. NY rules are crazy in regards and that would be considered failure to safe quard.I have all kinds of stuff in my truck I don't want stolen. Which lock do you prefer? Any complaints on your setup?I dont have the jump seat console one but i do have the full console lockrdown extreme with the electronic lock. It is the best i could find pn the market as far as pry proof after reading reviews and watching videos for days before i made the purchase. I will say it was easy to i stall and you would have to take the whole console with you if you wanted in the safe as it is stout. So i would assume their jump seat console safe is the same.
Now don't do it like me i ordered with the 4 tumbler lock and then ordered a lid with the electric lock. Roughly same price but now i have an extra lid that's no use. And i changed to the electronic lock just for speed of getting in and out of the safe which helped a lot. But either way i don't think you can go wrong.
I had the 4 number combo lock first and found it not as easy to get in to so i ordered a new lid with their electric lock which is what i should have gotten to start with. The electric lock is flawless easy to get in to and lock back up with out struggling trying to turn the numbers on the tumbler style.Which lock do you prefer? Any complaints on your setup?

iI have the Tuffy safe in the center console in my crew cab big horn. I carry a pistol daily but also go to the post office and bank on an almost daily basis for work. Seeing as you cant bring a firearm in to either location and my state requires that if you leave a gun in your car it must be locked up, in a locked car is not enough. Its the only option I have at this point. What would you be looking to put in this secure box that is so valuable to trust in a vehicle that can be entered so easily. I love it. Thats what i need was picture. Thank you!I have a Locker Down with the electronic lock. It installs easy and works great. I upgraded to the electronic lock due to the larger numbers and ability to open it in low/no light from memory. 2 Glocks in holsters fit with no problem. The only negative with the electronic lock knob is it sticks up enough to press against the console lid and takes a bit if pressure to close the lid.
