Does the 2018 1500 have a locking differential? My 2012 Ford had one; via button.

If you have one it's a clutch style lsd. Look on your build sheet to see if you have one.

I'm having one installed next week

Would that be on the window sticker?

I’m also looking to have one installed. Can you share how much it’s going to cost?

Should be. I believe it’s listed as Anti Spin Differential.

I was told it could be 1 hour or 5 hours. They said they take their time to do it right so they dont have to go back into it. I think 6-8 hours is a little much but I'll find out this week

Not to be argumentative but....
Is it really necessary or is it a bragging add.?

With all the Bolton mods I have. At 360 hp and 390 ft/lb of tq at the rear wheels I one wheel peel at every stop light almost even when I'm light on the throttle. If I'm gonna break them loose I may as well break them both loose at a minimum or will even out my tread wear lol

Probably not 100% necessary for me. I wanted a Copperhead Sport and stumbled upon one optioned pretty much perfectly, except for not having the anti spin differential. My 2013 had it and it’s just something I want.

The Anti spin is not the same as the locker on the ford. The locker on the ford is 100% locking with no slippage when engaged. It also requires no slippage to engage. I had one on my 13 f150 Ecoboost and absolutely loved it. I have the anti spin in My Ram and hate it in comparison. I's not even in the same league. Now as I recall the Ford would only operate up to 25 mph when locked, then it would automatically disengage. It was more of a rough terrain assist than a drag race assist.

Dude come on, i drove a 500whp corvette and i didn't peel out at lights even at moderate throttle. If you're peeling out with only 360hp, you're using more than just light throttle.

Might have to do with a street tire traction type vs a H/L hard truck tire, weight distribution, or the extra 8 inches of tread patch?

He's making the same whp as a stock power stroke and less than half the torque. He's not going to burn rubber at even half throttle.

Lol comparing a ram to a Corvette. Wow. Cool story bro

No, a cool story is your 360whp ram. I'm sure every stock diesel is peeling out left and right too, because apparently, in your world 360 horsepower is barely controllable.

I have the "anti-spin", would prefer an electric locker, or maybe an Auburn ECTED, the best of both worlds. LSD is standard operation, with electric switch to become complete locker.

Limited slips are useful in LIGHT offroading, and snow. Over time, the clutch packs burn out. So you will have to take out the diff, replace clutch packs, and reinstall. Pain in the ass. Would ever buy one? HELL NO.
I have always used Auburn PRO and detroit lockers. They are true lockers, and arent noisy around bends.
As for the op wanting to spin both tires...by all means go for it! Nothing funner than kicking her sideways!
