Lockpick Air 2 issue

running on a 2017 with the 8.4.. I connect the device and i can get to the menus. When I click on Lockpick, it brings up a black screen and at times, it’ll say “system initializing”. I have all dip switches on the up position. Is there something I am missing? Anyone else have a similar issue?

Off the top of my head the dip switch settings sound wrong but it sounds like you have the latest HD version.

I plan on calling them today.. I figured I’d post up since they are closed for the weekend. I figure the dip switches may be off though.

Disregard my last on Dip switches. The instructions say all should be off/up for Rams. Good luck! You'll probably speak to Carlos.

Yeah, did speak to Carlos. And come to find out, the device is an air 2, but it’s an older version of the Air 2. Oh well, looks like it’ll be up for sale in a few minutes.

Yeah, I put a lot of money into mine...went through 2 in as many years. I was actually charged $50 in the first year to replace my defective unit. On the second one they offered me a discount on a 3rd ...fool me once.

I know it's an old thread but I just got this lockpick thingy. Did yours burn up from getting so hot? I noticed mine is hot as hell just in the first 10 minutes after installing it. I'm trying to figure out if I need dip switch 5 up or down to enable navigation input while in motion. The instruction are kind of confusing to me, "down to disable override... Blah blah.." so maybe I want to ENABLE override? Not a huge deal currently but I want to get it set correctly eventually.

I'm not sure honestly. It just stopped working. I never noticed any abnormal temperatures while 8n use though. If I would have talked to you before purchase I would have steered you away from it. I would consider using the heat issue to return it (they just aren't that good for what they cost).

I'm basically using it for the auto front camera and air play stuff which so far is working. I'll try it for a while and see what happens
