Ask for more than the 1500$? I hate negotiating.... It doesn't have TV,s so I know I'll need a few mounts. Damn I need another beer....

Negotiating sucks, but the sales price shown is based on an artificially inflated regular price. No dealer will cut their throats just to "make room". They are still making decent coin on it, but they need to move it off so it doesn't stale and end up a used unit or a transfer. It's a product rotation thing. The more units they move, the larger the buying quota per dealer so they have access to a larger selection to bring in.

I'm not saying to be a hard nose, but feel the water a bit. Ultimately if it's the trailer you want and the price is acceptable- your satisfaction is worth a lot more than couple grand, but it never hurts to try.

Sales is sucking you in to buy now instead of later by making you think it's the very last trailer like that on the planet and no others will ever ever ever compare and they are never ever ever making more. You know the game. Call his bluff, beat him down another couple G and you win. Tell him to toss in some accessories for the gas it's going to take to get there ;)

SMART. Good quality sewer hoses (30' worth), double water hoses, 90* brass adaptors and pressure regulators for the water etc all add up.

Just bought a Forest River Flagstaff 27VRL. 31.5' ball to bumper 6850# dry. Even with levelers and sway bars she's a brute to tow. Anything over 60mph is really sketchy.

I'm really considering trading up to a 2500 3/4 ton diesel if I don't regear and get some bags on the back.

Interesting thread. I have a 31' Everlite TT 5500 dry. Towed about 140miles round trip and it towed really good. I have the air ride and a WD hitch. I definitely felt it behind me more so than my old 12' 2500. But the 15mpg was nice.

Nice outfit. Congrats. What gear did you get with the diesel if I might ask. Just a thought though from looking at the pic, may want to consider the Air Lift 5000 air bags. Reason for this, will allow you to keep your headlamps in adjustment. Before I put them on mine, tried to adjust the lamps lower and couldn't make any significant difference. After, am at factory ride height and also smoothed out jounce when pulling on choppy hi ways. Just a thought.

I have the 3:42's. I was looking at the airbags but the wife says wait till spring. Only a couple more pulls this year anyways.
