I plan on upgrading the stock tires and wheels on my Laramie to either 35x12.5R20 or 275/65R20 once I chew through the current set of Wranglers I have on now. The 3 main tires I'm considering are the BFG KO2, Toyo AT II, and the Terra Grappler G2. Before I got the Ram, I ran a set of 275/65R18 Terra Grapplers (Pre-G2) on my Tundra and the life on those tires was absolutely terrible. I put them on right at 4k miles, and when I got rid of the Tundra at just over 30k, the set probably had about 10k miles left to go before they were completely bald.

Before you ask, yes I did have them rotated every with every 5k oil change, and I ran them at 38-44 psi. 99.9% of the driving with that set was on the highway or city. I never had any issues with the alignment since it never saw dirt or mud, so I have no idea why that set was barely going to make it to 40k.

So my question is for out of the 3 tires I've picked, from y'alls experience, which set will have the longest life? My 1st choice is the BFG's since the tread is closest to a MT out of the group, but I've read that a lot of guys don't like the new KO's due to various complaints with the new sidewall and the tread pattern. I really liked the Terras, but I'm hesitant to buy another set with the crappy experience I had from the ones on my last truck. I also like the Toyo's as well, and I haven't ever heard anything negative about em, but I don't have as much knowledge about em other than that Nitto and Toyo are the same company.

I'd definitely appreciate if y'all could make this decision much easier for me so I don't waste $$$ on a set of tires just for them to be replaced within a couple of years. Thanks.

The G2's I have in 295/60/20 have a 50,000 rating. I've had them for a couple of months and I really like them.

I'm running the G2's and I know I will never see the 50,000 miles on these tires. That being said, they have worn perfectly. I just can't see getting any kind of life out of this style tire.
Between the style of the tire and my driving habits, it won't happen.
When getting into the 20 inch wheel size, we don't have many choices.

Don't forget about the GY Duratracs. They are 50k as well. I'm VERY happy with them.

I also have the G2 tires, but mine are on 17" wheels. I will absolutely get well over 50,000 miles. I had to replace one due to a car accident. So comparing a brand new tire to the other 3 that have 20,000 miles on them; they've worn down a millimeter? Its really hard to believe! I should post a couple pictures for the nonbelievers.
I always buy the E rated tires. Even though I do almost zero towing or heavy hauling. I like having a strong sidewall. Maybe that contributes to my tire life. My last tires Hankook AT/M had around 80,000 miles when I traded it in for my Ram. Probably could have got another 15,000 miles out of those. They were also E rated.
