Is it ok to go from my 275/60R20 in the summer to 265/70R17 in the winter? I found a used set on a classified site, but looking at a tire size calculator, it would change the overall dimensions from 33" to 31.6". Will I need to worry about transmission shift issues or anything like that?

edit above

.8" overall change, no worry. You probably won't even notice a speedometer discrepancy.

I was wrong it's 275/60R20 stock, so 33" overall, so new tire would actually be 1.4" smaller. updated original post.

OK. lol thought i had bad math... you'd still be ok, though at that point you'd probably start to notice your speedo read a little fast. you'll have .7" less ground clearance.

you're on the right track. 17's will be cheaper and the narrower tire will be better in the snow and on the ice. Maybe just go to the next aspect ratio 80's? they'll still be skinnier just have a taller sidewall. They should be about the same size as OEM, .7" overall?

looks like 265/70/R17 are the other available stock size.. perhaps not on the sports?
