Looking for beefier tires with stock setup...any suggestions

As the title says, I'm not impressed with the stock Goodyears and I'm wanting to start figuring out what type of replacements I want. I want something that has good road manners but is good off road and in snow.

Any suggestions/pics?

I have a '12 CC sport with the stock setup and 3.92's.

I would check out a leveling kit and maybe some 33's if you can swing it. These are Toyo Open Country MT's. Probably the least aggresive Mud terrain out there, as they usually last well over 40k miles. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Well for snow Id go Goodyear Duratrac hands down!...But something with not alot of road noise and a little more aggressive than stock, Id go with Nitto Terra Grapplers..especially if your looking to just stay stock height..to avoid rubbing.

My cousin has terra grapplers on his silverado and said that they have really bad road noise...is that just to be expected?

Well its considered an AT tire so its going to be louder than stock, I have the Trail Grapps and they are manageable as far as noise! You could also go with BFG AT, but Ive heard mixed feelings about them.

duratracs for snow, I love mine. the most aggressive a/t tire and a snowflake rating had me sold.

Mickey Thompson ATZ will go anywhere and my brother has had em on his last 3/4 ton silverado and got right over 50,000 miles with them and still had tread when he traded it in on his 2011 3/4 ton silverado which he just put 35 inch ATZ's on. That's what I'm gonna do when I get the money

For the price I really like them. I just went off roading with them this weekend and there where some muddy spots. They handled great and didn't get stuck. Couldn't say the same for my buddy's bronco with his cooper tires haha. They have good road manners and are awesome in the rain. They were really quiet when I first got them, but after 5,000 miles they are starting to hum. Which I kind of like . Don't know about snow, but I'm thinking they should do well. I havent noticed anything like that, granted I dont drive much highway but we have some county roads with highway speed limits and I havent noticed anything different from the LTR's I had on before.

I run the Toyo Open Country A/T's as most of my miles are on the road with off-road now and then. Decent off-road traction and quiet on the highway. My buddy down the road, with a 2008 2500 CTD runs the M/T's and while they are a bit noisier than the A/T's, he really likes how they perform off road.

I'd seriously consider leveling the truck and going to 33's. It looks good and it will perform just fine.

33'S on the stock wheels you mean? Yes, as long as you don't go to a 12.50" wide tire.

A leveling kit is cheap and is not as involved as a lift with respects to installation. It really does make an immediate difference.

I think you mean 33" on the stock wheels? I've heard of guys doing that.. You will have some others pop in here in a bit to answer better!
