Looking for muffler/exhaust advice...

So I've got everything done to my truck that I want done, for now. Custom 93 tune, Vararam intake, JBA shorty headers, oil catch can, 180 tstat, ported throttle body, etc. Have a Carvens Progressive muffler on it. I like it, but I want something now that sounds like a performance car or muscle car, not just loud and rumbling. Problem is I don't want to redo the whole cat back, I'd like to just change the muffler. I like the sound of the corsa system, just don't want to pay the $1000 plus for the whole system. Looking for advice on a muffler that has a mean muscle car sound. Thanks in advance!

How loud do you want it? I’ve had my share of mufflers and may be able to point you in the right direction. Do you mind drone? What type of tone are you looking for?

I am a fan of Borla on these 5.7 Hemi's but there is some other good options out there too. How loud do you want it to be?

IMO a performance car, like a Ferrari, sounds nothing like a muscle car, say a Hemi 'Cuda.
I know my Flowmaster reminds me of both my old Challenger and Barracuda and that makes me happy.
Don't want my truck sounding like it wishes it was an exotic supercar.

I like loud, I'd say between stock and wall shattering lol. Don't mind drone unless it's that harmonic sounding drone that makes ears buzz and causes headache lol. The tone I'm looking for is muscle car/performance sound.

Give the black widow mufflers a look. Id take a look at the neighborhater or angry housewife.

There are tons of videos on YouTube with different muffler setups on these trucks. There is a channel called Exhaust Addicts that is a shop that videos most of there custom exhaust setups and I know have several on these trucks that offers a good comparison.

If you want LOUD go Borla ATAK catback or or S for loud but not too Loud. Could always get a Borla muffler like a Pro XS and weld it in.

You might like the Gibson MWA race muffler. Has good loudness and sound. It does have a little drone but it’s not terrible. It was a bit too loud for me but I liked the way it sounded.

Look on Americantrucks.com, they have a deal for proven ground kits 5 inch tips and a muffler either bullet style or magnaflowbstyle for 121.99. Contemplating ordering it

Well I ordered it with the straight through muffler and tips. Did it for the tips, but hell maybe ill want to quiet my truck down one day

Which ever muffler you decide on increasing tube size after muffler or just a couple foot at the end will slow the flow and gives you a deeper tone rumbling or deep aggressive resonance or rap.

So I've been watching YouTube videos for days. I don't want to do a cat back. I've got the Vararam, ported throttle body, JBA shorty headers, 93 octane tune, 5" tips. I'm looking for a muffler that's on the quiet side at idle, but that will scream on mild-hard acceleration, something similar to muscle car sound, not the loud annoying monster truck sound. I searched through your site but got errors. Was wondering if you have anything you'd recommend, as far as muffler. Thanks in advance.

Getting something that is quiet at idle but scream at WOT is going to be a little tough BUT I do recommend the Magnaflow muffler kit. It is directly bolt in and is fairly tame at idle and part throttle cruise and is pretty loud at WOT

I'm probably not explaining myself well lol. At idle, I don't want that loud loping sound. Doesn't have to necessarily "scream" at WOT, just loud enough to turn heads. I guess something between my Carven and stock. Going to listen to some more videos, will message you when I pick one. Thank you!
