As long as they warranty company doesn't go belly up they can work. Some are better than others.Do extended warranties even work? I personally thought of them as scams. ???
Most phone spam calls selling them might just be scams trying to get your info.
But as people are keeping their vehicles longer and as the vehicles get more integrated technology as standard equipment, extended service contracts can help limit your out of pocket costs.
It's basically a shared risk thing, if you don't use it they win, if you lose a major component you win.
Just the radio alone is around $1500.
