I went to replace my air filter for my s&b intake because the old one had gotten damaged from constantly taking it out when I was trying to get the air intake installed, trying to get everything to stay in place, etc. As I went to replace the filter, I noticed the air box was just a little bit loose so all I did was try to loosen the bolt that goes into the side of the fender a bit, just to make sure it was going in straight and then tighten it back down. This simple action alone, using absolutely no power tools whatsoever, completely stripped the hole out. So now, I do not have a bolt going through that hole because it would just slide out. The only next size up that I could find was a m10 and that is far too big. I cannot seem to find an m9 size bolt anywhere. My question is, since there is nothing holding the air box up aside from the two small bolts that go into the fender liner, and therefore there is a hole where the bolt should be and it’s not lined up where the air inlet on the fender is, is this something I should worry about, as in will this cause check engine lights, mechanical issues etc? I don’t have the bottom bracket on either because it was causing this annoying rattling sound while I was driving. I plan to get the hole for the side bolt rethreaded by a professional because I have absolutely no idea how to do that kind of stuff but until then, should I be worried?
